Elisabeth Bells World "Hearts - Hearts, and More Hearts"

Hurray - It's that time again.... Our wonderful challenge over at Elisabeth Bells World has a new challenge going on. Lets see what you've got..... We want to see LOTS and LOTS of Hearts!!! Tis that time of year, you know!

Not only that, we've got some fun prizes this month, and a new sponsor.... Hop over and check it out, and while you're there, maybe you'll be inspired to play along. You have the whole month to do it... Challenge ends on February 22nd.

I used some of my favorite Elisabeth Bell designs from Whiff of Joy for my "Hearts" themed project.

I used these two darling "Willow" stamps simply because they are my favorite stamps from Whiff of Joy. I have had these for a few years, and they are STILL some of my very favorites...

I have made a criss cross card/envelope, as well as a decorative box filled with goodies. Here is another view

I used papers from Bo Bunny, and DCWV. My images and heart stamps were colored with Copics, rose buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the rest is just odds and ends from my stash.

Good Evening everyone!!! Guess what? It's time for another challenge over at Elphine House Australia's Challenge Blog!!! The challenge this week is so simple.... "Anything Goes" So if you want to join in the fun, all you have to do is use ANY Stamp that is designed by Elisabeth Bell, whether it be rubber or Digital... There are several companies that sell her designs. =)
I'm very excited about what I made for this weeks challenge, because I've used one of Elphine House Australia's newest stamps. This one is called "It's A Girl".

I truly had a lot of fun creating this card with lots of layers and different textures. I used copics to color, and the papers used are from My Minds Eye - called "Lost & Found". The sentiment used is from The Greeting Farm's "Oh Baby" set. I'm not sure if that set is still available or not.
I made the flowers from retro punches, and the rest of the card contains just "Stuff" that I had in my stash.

Guess what? Elphine House Australia also has another stamp similar to this, only it's called "It's a Boy", and it's a dad and baby boy! TOOOO Sweet!!!!

I can't believe the weekend is over, and here we are, another Monday! We just posted a new challenge last week over at the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog, and a week has passed already. Where does the time go?

Over the weekend, I was playing with some baby announcement ideas, so I thought it would be great to share what I've created here today.

I actually made a total of 10 of these birth announcements, but silly me, didn't photograph the whole group of them. These cards do not open, but instead, you turn it over to read the birth announcement information. I do have a photo of the front and back of them, so you can see.

I kept the back side pretty simple, since I didn't want to have anything distracting from the information that will be written there. =)

The papers that I used are basic cardstock, and the blue shading was created using Stampin' Up ink, in Bordering Blue, and Brocade Blue. I used navy blue embossing powder randomly around the edges, and then a touch of paint to add to my "distressed look". The oval frame cut from nestabilities, is water color paper, inked with Distress inks, as well as some gold colored perfect pearl powder, and sprayed with a mist of water. My sweet baby image was colored using Copic Markers.

How about that GORGEOUS Baby??? I remember when this first arrived on my doorstep, I went crazy... This has got to be the most beautiful of all baby stamps I've seen. "Sweet Dreams" from Belles 'n Whistles, truly is Sweet, whether it's used for either a boy or a girl!!!

I love how Elisabeth Bell has captured that sweet innocent look, and so life like too. Simply Precious! Wouldn't you agree?

Janneke loves photography and so Elisabeth just had to do an image with a camera for her!!
Now just how cute with all of the fun little details!! Look at the cute little glasses and that butterfly and did you see the kitty???

I fell in love with this adorable digi the second I saw it. Especially since I also Love taking pictures, and can totally relate to this super sweet little girl.

The card I have to share with you today is actually the Very First Card that I made in the year 2012.
I wasn't kidding when I said I immediately fell in love with this digi.
She was printed, and colored right away, and I just couldn't help myself.
I've been just dying to share what I made.

"Click" was such a fun image to color. I absolutely Love all the ruffles in her dress, and that hair... Oh my what fun, but the glasses on this little darling girl, my oh my, everything about her has completely captured my heart.

I used copics for coloring, and then of course all sorts of odds and ends from my stash for the card.
Do you know that everything that is on this card is from scraps??? Can you believe it?

(Well, the rosebuds, were not scraps, but I did alter their color)

A little "Late Night" crafting???

Hello again, another post from me today. Well, you will never believe what I spent my night doing last night? For some odd reason I could Not get comfortable, my shoulder was bothering me, and so I decided rather than just lay in bed, TRYING to fall asleep, I would get up, and do a little bit of coloring. Of course after coloring, one thing lead to another, and finally around 3A.M. all of my ideas appeared on paper.

This is what I came up with.

So since I was awake, and played with my copics, and some papers, I thought it best to find some challenges that this would fit into. Of course, I did start out using the sketch that is over at "Anyone For Anya's" challenge blog.

A Wintery Mix....

Hi there, I'm back this fine Monday with a sweet wintery card to share with you. Today starts a brand new challenge over on the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog. It's the first challenge of 2012, and our sweet Iris has chosen the theme this week. I love the "Wintery" look, it's always so much fun to color, and create. =)

I used "Catch A Flake" from Belles 'n Whistles. She is so much fun to color, I just love these snowbabies.

I used Copics for coloring as distress ink (vintage photo) for some shading. The rose buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts, originally white, I changed the color using a water color Stampin' Up marker to slightly shade the edges, then sprayed with a water mist to blend. I recently saw a card somewhere, and can't think where, but the paper doilies were rolled and tucked behind the image. I just had to try this, and I am definitely going to do this again. I really love the way it turned out.

Hello - Hello..... Happy Saturday to you!

Today it was my turn to post over on The Digi Bells Blog, and of course you know that is the happening place, don't you? Well if you haven't visited there, you really should.... As a matter of fact, now is the best time to visit, especially if you are interested in becoming one of the next Guest DT members for The Digi Bells!!!

While I was looking at which of Elisabeth's Digital images I felt I hadn't used in a while, I thought of this darling one called "Pati's Kisses" Ohhhh how much I truly do love her! It was definitely time to color her, and help bring her to life. And who better than to give kisses to, than her teddy bear!

I just couldn't help myself, I had to add lots of "Valentine" colors. "Pati's Kisses" is perfect for such a "Loving" Holiday, isn't she?

The papers that I've used are all from "Bo Bunny", and I must say, I am definitely going to need to purchase another one of these paper packs. I truly do love these papers... I try to save papers, and not cut into them when I like them this much, but then I have to force myself, because what's the point in having them if I don't use them? ha ha...

My darling image is colored using Copics, which obviously is my coloring medium of choice (as always) I got the rosebuds from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon is just stash... but really seems to be just the right embellishment for this little cutie.

Hello - Helloooooo.....
It's hard to believe that I haven't posted anything in almost a full week. I've been keeping busy that's for sure.... Hmmm, I wonder why everyone always said teenage boys were easy... HAAAAA.... Nooooo not my son... I've gotten all kind of girlfriend/boyfriend break-up drama to deal with over the past several days.... So, needless to say, my crafting / blogging was put on the back burner...

Anyway, so today we start a brand new challenge over at Elphine House Australia's Challenge Blog. Can you guess by the title of this post just what that challenge is??? Yes, we are going with a theme of "Vintage" this week. I wanted to create vintage, but also add lots of color. I used the darling
"Daisy Hugging Dolly" for my card. She sure is a little cutie! You can find her only at Elphine House Australia.

I told you she was a cutie! =) I colored this little darling with Copics, trying to create an aged photo look. The papers I used are from My Minds Eye. (I got the papers for Christmas) And the rest.... Just stash odds 'n ends...

Good Afternoon.... A New Year has begun, and I'd like to take this time to wish all of my blogging friends, and followers a Very Happy New Year. Onward and Upward, in 2012. Right?

I have a card that I wanted to share with each of you in honor of the New Year!

As always, I colored my sweet Belles 'n Whistles stamp with my Copic's. I've used Tim Holtz distress ink in vintage photo, and of course some gold embossing powder. The flowers were handmade by me, using a "retro" flower punch from EK Success. Water colored, embossed, and I was all set. I really like the way they turned out. I may have to try this little rose bud technique again sometime. =)

Since I made this card, I thought I might as well see if there are any challenges going on right now that it would fit into....

I just LOVE this little sweetie. Believe it or not, this is the first time

that I've actually made her a blonde.

a brand new camera, It's HD!!!

Hello - Hello - Hello.......
I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas, and are recovering from all the festivities.

I have a card to share with you today and believe it or not, it has Nothing To Do with the Holiday's. I sure do love my Holiday Crafts, but after a while, you tend to get tired of working with those.

A New Challenge has begun over on Elphine House Australia's Challenge Blog.

The theme there is "Around We Go" Meaning that we have to incorporate Circles on our cards. Well that certainly is easy enough to do, right?

I used Evania - Nursing Boo Boo from none other than Elphine House Australia. What beautiful designs by Elisabeth Bell, you will find there.

I colored this darling sweetie with copics, and for her wings, I added little tiny glass beads. As a matter of fact, they aren't even beads, they don't have a hole through them. But they were the perfect touch to an already adorable image. I have added them to the flowers as well.

If this card doesn't say "Around We Go" then I don't know what does. ha ha....

Merry Christmas!What an eventful Holiday Season this has been. I've been seriously busy beyond anything that I ever remember, and now today I can sit back and enjoy the day.

I wanted to take this time to wish all of you, my blogging friends the Merriest of Christmas'. Thank you all for stopping by my blog, and taking time out of your day to visit me here.

Today I have a fun little wall hanging to share with you.... But it is also part of this months Challenge over at Elisabeth Bells World. Each and every month, on the 25th, we have a new challenge. This little clipboard, can actually be hung on a wall, well... It Does Have the little hook on the back for it, so why not hang it up? I just couldn't resist making this one.
I especially love how the cute little deer on the background paper just so happens to fall in that place. Is that cute or what? (the paper is from Basic Grey)

Wowee, only a week left until Christmas!!! Are you all ready??? I don't think I will ever be ready. But, that seems to be how it goes for me lately.

Today we have a brand new challenge over at Belles 'n Whistles. We'd love it if you joined us. I know this time of year is hectic, but luckily the challenge runs for two weeks. All you have to do, is create a card or project using "Warm Colors" and of course make sure you are using ANY of Elisabeth Bell's adorable stamps.

I have a darling cookie tray to share with you today.

I had so much fun painting, and then decorating this tray, I also brought it to a craft fair, and believe it or not, it was one of the first things that was sold. I know the girl who bought it, so I know it's gone to a good home. I really hated to part with it, but you know how it is... How many things can I really keep???

I have found that after applying a good coat of Modge Podge, and allowing plenty of drying time, that I can then spray a thin coat of Shellac on it, and it will no longer have a slightly sticky feel. I also tested it out, and used a damp cloth to wipe it, and it works wonderfully.

I just had to put it to the test of "Cleaning"... Obviously, this is wood, and you wouldn't want to submerge it in dish water, but wiping it with a dish cloth that is damp doesn't do it any harm.

This tray was such a hit at the craft fair that I was at, that I ended up needing to make 2 more trays for someone else, because they also fell in love with it. Gotta love getting a special request, right?

**THE LITTLEST ANGEL**

What a sweet little heavenly image!! Look at all of the fun little details!!!

She is a dream to color!!

As a matter of fact, I love it so much, that I actually made 2 things for today's release! It was soooo much fun too.

First, a fairly simple tray

I colored this little Angel with copics, as well as the poinsettia flowers in the corners. I added some gold embossing powder and little red painted polkadots on the painted edges of the tray... Ooops I should have taken a picture of the sides, I have also stamped and embossed gold holly leaves around the outside edges of the tray...

I just wasn't done yet, I just Had to try something else,
Ohhhhh My...
I have to tell you how TRULY In Love I am with what you are about to see next.

Ahhhh, yes, she sure is a dream to color...
I am not even going to tell you how long it took me to make this wreath, it's a little extreme, but what a fun project, and Soooo totally worth the time I spent on it.

I decided to create a gift tag, we can never have too many of those, right?

Unfortunately when creating a tag I actually had to cut part of the image off, there is a cute little mouse behind the mailbox post with his umbrella, poor little guy wouldn't fit for my tag. I also accidently cut off Elisabeth Bell's Copyright signature, so since I saved a piece of rubber that had her copyright on it, guess what I did? Yep, stamped it there... Now wasn't that smart of me? ha ha

Lets Have A "Classy Christmas"

Greetings ~
It's been so quiet here on my blog this week. Believe it or not, I think I've been working on more projects than I have time to complete. Crazy me!!! This is what happens when my co-workers decide that they want this and that, and I go crazy trying to complete the things they want. I think there are just not enough hours in the day...
However, this morning I took some time out to just color and create for the fun of it. I decided to use one of the Belles 'n Whistles stamps that I had not yet had a chance to use. Meet "Sass and Class" from the SweetArt Girls II set. She makes such a "Classy" Christmas card, doesn't she?

I followed this weeks sketch over at Sketch Saturday, I fell in love with the sketch the minute I saw it.

I love the way this one turned out, although I'm not so sure I should have used clear crackle paint over the image. I'm still trying to get used to the effects of the clear crackle paint. I Love the way white looks, but the clear seems to be taking me a while to get used to.

I colored my image using Copics, as well as some Stampin' up markers for some of the small areas. The Christmas tree behind the image is just randomly drawn in with Copics. The sentiment is from one of the holiday sets from The Greeting Farm. I did a tiny bit of heat embossing on the doily that is tucked behind my image. I think that it adds just a touch of glitz, that such a classy girl deserves. *wink*

It's Time To Sparkle with Belles 'n Whistles

Greetings my blogging friends,
Here we are, Monday again....and time for a brand new challenge over on the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog. This time it's all about "Sparkle" It's time to dig out your glitter.... lets see what you can come up with. With Christmas coming soon, why not make a holiday card with lots of glitter.

The card that I created, is actually a "gift" ... Hmmmm, a gift you say???? Well, you see, I decided that my sparkliest item would be this adorable snowflake. Soooooo, my card holds a "snowflake ornament". After receiving the card, all a person would have to do, is just lightly pull the ornament off of the front. It's held on, with just ONE pop dot. Underneath of course there is an image that is just like that of the ornament, same size and shape. (without the snowflake of course)

What a tricky one I am, huh? Lol

The stamp that I used is from this years Holiday release. It is called "Andrew's Stocking"....

Making a Beautiful ornament out of..........

Happy Wednesday!!

Today I thought I would share a handmade Christmas ornament with all of you.
I ended up making this purly by just playing around and the end result turned out to be something I fell in love with....

It truly is amazing what you can do with a tiny bit of of cheap plastic ornaments to help inspire you.

The gold snowflake that I used here was one of those big plastic ornaments coated with gold glitter. By itself it really isn't a very pretty item... No wonder there were so many of them left over after Christmas last year. So when I bought it on clearence it was VERY VERY inexpensive... ha ha.....

Here is what I did with it.

I thought that the perfect stamp to use on this pretty ornament would be one of the new Belles 'n Whistles Christmas stamps, this one is called "Angels Song".

The sentiment that I used is a digital word art sentiment. You can find these Digital Word Art Digi sets only at Belles 'n Whistles.

What fun, right? They also have 2 sets available that are not Christmas related, but can be used for other cards and projects.

Anyway, I guess this is enough babbling from me for today.... I thought I would enter my ornaments into these challenges.

Elphine House Australia's Photo Inspired Challenge

I'm back again to show you a card I created after being inspired by a beautiful Autumn/Fall photo. This week Elphine House Australia challenges us all to use this photo, and be inspired by it. What will you create?

Greetings everyone, and happy "Black Friday" to all of you. It's official... we here in the U.S. are headed full steam ahead toward the Christmas season. Today has to be the BIGGEST shopping day of the year, and I'm just NOT crazy enough to go to any stores. There is nothing that is so important for me to find that I must deal with crazy crowds, and waiting in LONG Lines at the store. My craft room, and staying cozy in my PJ's is pretty inviting.

Soooooo, with all that being said... I have a couple of things to show you today.

First of all, Janiel and I are sharing a post over on the Digi Bells Blog today, we have decided that we would both use "Lil' Lynda's Piano Forte", and create something with a "holiday theme".

Rather than making another holiday card, I decided that I would decorate a small tin, that you could use to put a small gift inside. I didn't take pictures of the inside, simply because I've not yet figured out what I'd like to put inside it.

Another view from the side... You can hardly see it in this picture, but the paper used is a "Musical" design from K&Company. Of course you can see the lace, as well as the velvet ribbon that borders the lid.

Why not stop over at Janiel's Blog, and see the GORGEOUS card she's created with this darling Digi. Oh how I love this sweet Digital Stamp from Elisabeth Bell. After all, this one was made especially for me, for my birthday. Am I a lucky girl or what???

Ohhhh Christmas Tree.......

Greetings .....Can you believe how fast the month of November is passing us by? Christmas is just a little over a month away.
I've been a busy little bee in my craft room, trying to prepare for my holiday mailing list, and creating gifts etc. There never seem to be enough hours in the day it seems.

Today I have a little something to share with you, that I created for the Belles 'n Whistles Blog. I had this idea after I saw something similar in a store. Although, what I saw in the store was made out of some sort of mesh wire, and I had the idea to create mine with lots of ribbon and lace.

This little tree is actually a solid chipboard type of cone, and rows of ribbon were glued on with hot glue. I just really love the way this turned out.

Each of the ribbons used on this tree are velvet to the touch. It is so much prettier in person. I wish I could capture it's beauty on camera, but.... a camera can only do so much.

I've used the new "Angels Grace" stamp at the top of my tree because she seems to go sooooo beautifully with this tree. Have you all had a chance to go shopping and get your own holiday stamps this year from Belles 'n Whistles? They truly are adorable, aren't they? Oh how I love the holiday season for crafting. =)

It won't be long now, and we will be having our 3rd annual Belles 'n Whistles Advent festivities. I hope you mark your calendars, and join us this year.

Christmas is Knocking on the Door....

Happy Tuesday!!! It's that time again for another challenge over on Elphine House Australia's Blog. It's a sketch this week, I love sketch challenges, don't you?

I decided to use "Greeting Chimes", from Elphine House Australia. It worked wonderfully for creating a Christmas card. I added "The Christmas Tree" from Belles 'n Whistles, in the background, and had fun using some Christmas papers from DCWV.

I truly do love my Elisabeth Bell designed stamps! =)

I am also entering this card into this weeks Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - with the theme of "Punch It".... as well as the Truly Scrumptious Challenge - "Bingo" I used Lace, Flowers, and Ribbon.

The sentiment was created by me, and of course I used my favorite coloring medium "Copics" for all of my coloring.

Frosty The Snowman....

Hello my dearest crafting friends,
Wow, I have just been feeling like I've been missing in action lately. I really haven't been, but I've definitely been a busy little bee....

Today I have something to share with you, that I have also shared over on The Digi Bells Blog.
My fellow teamie Janiel and I have decided that we would each use the same digital image from our darling Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection, and we would share a post both showing what we've created with it. We decided on using "Frosty The Snowman".... Ohhhh how I love this digi.

I hope you enjoy seeing what I did with it.

So the story begins like this..... LOL

Last weekend I was in North Carolina, and while I was there, I just so happened to visit a craft store. Wouldn't you know, I saw these cute unfinished trays and thought, OHHHH MY, I have some ideas for those.... I decided that it would be the perfect tray to decorate with "Frosty The Snowman". Anyone with this tray could either use it for display purposes, or they could actually use it to serve hot cocoa, tea, or coffee. I made sure not to have things that bump up on the actual surface of the tray.

However, I have torn papers, and an adorable colored and carefully cute out digital image, along with the text that I cut using a set of sizzix dies. Once I had the layout set up, I decided on my paint color, and set out to paint the tray, once dried, I carefully glued things down with some quick dry adhesive.

I coated everything with a very thin coat of Modge Podge, to help protect everything and create a stronger hold for what I had glued down. The next thing I did was apply the purple ribbon, and dangling pearls to the outsides of the tray. Once that was finished, I added a couple of snowflakes, and then sprayed craft shellac over the top, to put a finishing seal over everything.

And there you have it.... All the details you could ask for. ha ha....

It feels like forever since I've been on here. I've been away for 4 days, and haven't come near my computer. Definitely something I needed to do. I had a wonderful trip to North Carolina, where I watched some exciting dirt racing, and did all sorts of fun stuff that a race fan loves to do. LOL

Now I'm back, and headed out to work today, but not before sharing this adorable little Thank you card that I made before I left for my trip.

For my card this week, we were to create a "Get Well Wishes" sort of card. This is the time of year we call "Cold & Flu Season". So we thought it would be great to have some "Get Well" cards on hand for when we may need to send one off to a friend or family member.

I couldn't resist creating my own paper to go with this card. Believe it or not, I have stamped that "Get Well" paper and colored each little thing I stamped, and I did it while watching a movie. It was really quite a relaxing thing to do. I used stamps that are from The Craft Lounge, that I bought a few years ago before I started getting into using more "Character" types of stamps... I used some items from the "Running Sick" set, and the "Dr. Pea-nut" set.

I colored my paper with Copics, as well as my adorable little "Yummy Pudding" stamp from Elphine House Australia. I know the name of the stamp says "pudding" but this stamp also works very well for a "Get Well" type of card. I couldn't resist using her, she is truly adorable, isn't she?

I thought that I would enter this one into these challenges. After all, my card does fit, so why not?

How about a little Magnolia on a Monday?

Happy Monday and Happy Halloween too!
I bet you all thought I would have some sort of Halloween card to show you for this day, but actually I don't. *Gasp* Can you believe it?

Today I have a sweet little Tilda to share. I have been missing playing with my Magnolia's, and couldn't help myself with this one.

I told you she was sweet, didn't I? A friend of mine at work asked me the other day if I could possibly make her a "Thank You" card, and I of course said... "Sure I will" Well, here she is! I think she'll be quite happy with this little cutie.

I've followed the sketch for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge, and thought I'd enter this card over at Simon Says Stamp's Challenge Blog as well, since they have an anything goes challenge this week.

The papers I used are from K&Company, the flowers are punched, topped with "Cotton Candy" Stickles, and dew drops for the center. The Flourishes were cut using a die, and of course my sweet Tilda is colored using Copics. Last but not lease, the sentiment, I made myself.

Pink, Purple, and pretties, along with a Halloween Treat

Greetings all, well today is another day, and I've got something else to share with you today. Actually I am going to share not one, but Two things with you here today.

First, since today is the 25th of the month, that means that Elisabeth Bells World has another new challenge. Have you been visiting there and finding time during the month to enter the challenges? This month, the Challenge is to use the colors "Pink & Purple" and of course add your pretty embellishments.

I tried to stay away from making a card, simply because cards are such a common thing, and knowing how I am, I always seem to be thinking Outside The Box. ha ha.... I attempted a little post it note holder to sit on someones desk. I used cardboard coasters for this project. Who knew how handy such things could be.

I used "Daisy Hugging her Dolly" from Elphine House Australia for this months challenge. This little sweetie is simply adorable, and I just HAD to use her for this.

Please don't pay any attention to the tag that says "Just a Note" really it IS Straight.... It must be the angle that I took the picture, but to see that looking like it's crooked is driving me completely crazy... So I'm just going to pretend that I don't see that. LOL Oh oh - and don't look closely at the post it notes either. It says "MK Signature" on it... but you know, I used to sell Mary Kay Cosmetic products, and things like these post it notes were just something that I had available, and it seemed to go with my project perfectly. So I just HAD to use them. The pink paper behind the post it notes is actually stamped paper, using the little doll, from Belles 'n Whistles "Change-a-Belles Collection". I just couldn't help myself. LOL

Pins 'n Pearls with Belles 'n Whistles

Happy Monday everyone,
Hang on to your hats, it's getting pretty spooky around here... LOL I just couldn't help myself with this one.
Tis the season to get your last minute "Spooky" cards finished up. I just HAD to incorporate a little bit of Halloween with this weeks Challenge over at "Belles 'n Whistles". Iris has set the challenge for us this week. She wants to see your "Pins and Pearls". Well.... I don't see why we can't use some pins and pearls with a little bit of Spooky Stuff, so I did exactly that.

This adorable little witch with her broom, is simply adorable, and I couldn't help but to use her this week. I don't know that she really looks all that Spooky, but the sky behind her sort of looks that way, doesn't it?

Hello My Dear Blogging Friends,
It's that time of year again. Have you all been getting your Mamograms? I sure hope so. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I'm sure you all know this by now, but I've finally had a chance to color and play with something in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.

It also just so happens that this weeks challenge for "Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar" is "PINK" for Breast Cancer Awareness"... so it was a perfect time to play with Pink, Pink, Pink....

Isn't Tilda just the sweetest? And guess what? Even she is from Magnolia's "Pink" collection. The sentiment had to be hand written on that paper, since that was only a scrap and too small for the printer... I think it turned out quite nice, but that sentiment is PERFECT for encouraging someone who is fighting breast cancer, isn't it?

I've used Copics for coloring, and some "Cotton Candy" colored Stickles for a tad bit of sparkle. Of course I added a little to my rose buds from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Elphine House Australia Welcomes "DAISY".

Hello - Hello - Hello..... I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. I thought I'd share a little piece of "Fall" with all of you, as well as showing off, a very special stamp. Today's Post, is a Tribute To Daisy! Remember Daisy? She has been missing from circulation for quite some time now. Under new licensing, "Daisy" has made her return, and can now be purchased again from none other than Elphine House Australia.

Soooo, as I said, in paying Tribute to "Daisy" the Elphine House DT and I have decided that for this weeks challenge, we would all use Daisy and give her a proper "Welcome Back". The challenge theme this week is to use "Fall Colors" and of course we've added the twist of showing you Daisy. We would love to have you join us in our challenge. You of course don't HAVE to use Daisy, but definitely we want to see your Elisabeth Bell designed stamps and Fall Colors.....

Believe it or not, I'm still in disbelief that I have this sweet Daisy stamp. A few years ago I tried like anything to get her, and I never could. Finally she's alllllll mine. ha ha ha....

I am entering this card into this weeks "Cute Card Thursday Tree-mendous Challenge" as well as Stamps R Us - Natures Gifts Challenge. I think this fits both of those challenges, don't you?

A Little Alteration to share....

Good afternoon my blogging friends! I thought I'd stop and make a post sharing the card I just finished making. We have a student in our school who's birthday is actually TODAY, so tomorrow when he arrives at school, he will have a very special handmade card just for him. I think he's going to love it.

However, I say "A Little Alteration" simply because the image you are about to see is actually NOT the complete image. I used half of an adorable digi from Mo's Digital Pencil, but needed to do a tiny bit of altering to remove the other half. Of course after removing the little guy, I needed to fill in the blank spaces on the back of the bigger boys pants. Ohhhhhh never mind my explaining, why don't I just show you. ha ha...

OHHHH and I just noticed something.... Even I used the color Yellow for this boy... Not even planned, how funny is that?

But now I think you can see what "Little Alteration" that I did. What's a girl to do, when they need just One little guy, not Two?

I've followed this weeks Sketch for Sketch Saturdays Challenge. And of course the challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil is a theme of "Inspired by a Song".... Definitely this had me humming "Happy Birthday" for most of the time I was making it. So I guess this qualifies then... ha ha. But.... That's not all, My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge Blog has the same type of challenge...so Of Course I have to enter there, don't I? Not only that but Truly Scrumptious has a challenge going on that wants to see your "Distressing".

So there you have it, I've made it into 4 challenges with this one card this week. Who knew??? ha ha

Now I'm off to take a nice Sunday afternoon nap.

I wanted to create a birthday card for Janiel with her very sweet/special digi, but when I first set my eyes on this gorgeous digi, I couldn't help but picture an acorn card... I was dying to get started... I set out to create an acorn card, and an acorn card was produced in no time... I Just Love the way this turned out. With such a gorgeous stamp, how could it turn out any other way? This has got to be the absolute most Perfect Autumn/Fall stamp out there. Elisabeth Bell is one amazingly talented artist isn't she? She just keeps coming up with the most precious things.... Digi Bell Blog Hop Day has become my favorite day of the month .... Hmmm, I wonder why!

Alright, enough of my chatter.... It's time to show you what I made using "Janiel's Harvest".

The inside isn't anything spectacular, but I did stamp the light beige paper with the "Pumpkin Colored" leaves just as I did on the outside. I thought that was a nice little accent for the inside.

A Couple of things to share

Good Evening, yes I'm back this evening with another post. Wow - We're on a roll now....
I've had a GREAT Day spending time playing with my stamps, papers, and ink of course.... So I thought I'd come and share the results from my "Play Time" today.

To save on time, I have 2 things to share here, each one for a seperate challenge, but before I get started, I just have to say how VERY excited I am to Finally have this particular stamp in my inky little hands.... I can not even begin to tell you how very long I've wanted "Daisy" you all must know who "Daisy" is, don't you?

Once upon a time, she was licensed to Sugar Nellie, and for some reason I was never able to get her. Either she was sold out or something I don't know, but I would watch and watch for my opportunity, but that opportunity never came... Imagine how Very excited I was to hear the news from Elisabeth Bell herself, that "Daisy" would be released again after being licensed to a different company.

Ohhhhh My - The excitement was almost too much for me to handle... I waited patiently to find out just what company would be re-releasing her. Elisabeth wouldn't share that little secret... Well guess what? It just so happens that Elphine House Australia is the proud new owner of this stamp. Now just how lucky to you think I really feel? I have Daisy - I have Daisy.... I couldn't wait to play with her, soooooo, It's time to share with you all, my distressed little "Thank You" card that I made for this weeks Challenge over at the "Truly Scrumptious" Challenge Blog. "Daisy" truly is Scrumptious, isn't she?

If you are like me, and have been waiting and waiting and waiting some more for the opportunity to get your inky fingers on a "Daisy" Stamp of your own, then why not head over to that Elphine House Australia's Shop right now.... Now, the 2nd thing I worked on today is a cute little birthday card for a special 6 year old... (well she's almost 6) ha ha... Imagine a 6 year old loving the whole "Flower Power" idea of the 60's? Well this little girl can't get enough of "Flower Powers, and Peace Signs" as she puts it... LOL

So this card was made especially for her using one of the Sweet Hope & Grace girls from The Greeting Farm. I followed the sketch for this weeks "Sketch Saturday's Challenge" and I must say it was a fun one to follow. I hope you like the card. =)

Art Journaling meets Belles 'n Whistles....

Happy Monday! And for all of my American Friends, "Happy Columbus Day" Strange to say maybe, but I'm not opposed to having a day off of work. So I don't mind at all that our friend Christopher Columbus sailed West from Spain, in search of India, and found America in the year 1492.... Because now, here I sit having a holiday. Boy don't I think I'm something? ha ha....

Anyway.... Today we have a brand new challenge over at the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog. Our lovely Elise has chosen the challenge this week, and she wants to see what you choose to use.... The Challenge is "Use your favorite Elisabeth Bell Stamp or Digi" Of course our DT is showing our favorite Belles 'n Whistles stamps. I just HAD to use more than one, I couldn't decide.... But I DO KNOW that when looking at the stamps, and choosing my favorites, I always seemed to be drawn to the ones with Teddy Bears. Hmmmm, why doesn't that surprise me? I've always loved adorable Teddy Bears.

I decided that I would NOT be creating a card for this weeks challenge, but rather, an Art Journaling Spread. I have 2 reasons for doing this.... Normally each week I'm creating some sort of Art Journaling spread for a class I've been involved in over at The Greeting Farm. Lucky for me, it's not a requirement for me to use their stamps for the class. I have before, but I have also used other stamps as well. Last week I found out just how BEAUTIFUL some of the Belles 'n Whistles Stamps look on these Art Journaling pages. Since time was getting away from me this weekend, and needing to conserve on time, I decided to use my Favorite Belles 'n Whistles stamps with this weeks Art Journaling Class using "Water Coloring" I can tell you, that water coloring is just NOT my thing... I can do backgrounds, or flowers, but people stamps... forget it.... ha ha....

Here is my Art Journaling spread using a couple of my absolute FAVORITE Stamps from Belles 'n Whistles. "Beary Big Hugs, Eden with Teddy, and Teddy Bear Picnic" and look closely, I used the adorable little teddy bear from the "Teddy, Dolly, and Puppy" Change-a-Belles collection. I masked over him for the border. I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE that border.....

I didn't stop with just using my FAVORITE Stamps, I also incorporated my Favorite Colors... I just couldn't help myself. If I'm going with a "Favorites" theme, I may as well go all the way with it, right? ha ha

I never showed my Art Journing page from last week, here on my own blog. I guess it would be a good time to share that one as well... It was a floral theme, and I used some of the Fairies from Belles 'n Whistles then too. I think it would be so much fun to create an entire journal using these adorable BnW stamps, don't you? Soooooo many options.... Wondering about a "Art Journaling" challenge for our Belles 'n Whistles fans.... hhhhmmmmm.... what do you think?

I think I am going to have to create a whole Journal using BnW or any of my Elisabeth Bell stamps... Yes after seeing both of these layouts together in this one post, it's settled... I MUST do it....

A Little Something Just for You!

The Perfect Gift Box for a Flower Girl

Good Evening, what a crazy week this has been. I've been busy busy busy.... But in a good way, so I'm not complaining. I have been playing in my craft room, and getting lots of things finished. One of the items that I created features one of Elphine House Australia's newest stamps.

I thought that this sweet little flower girl needed to be used on something other than a card. Meet "Laura Flower Girl" Illustrated / designed by Elisabeth Bell for Elphine House Australia. I think you will agree with me that she is ABSOLUTELY adorable......

and on the inside, I just used a fabric style ribbon... so yes you do see edges, but I have to say that I think I like that "scrapped and pieced" look.

I've decided to enter my little gift box into these challenges.

Belles 'n Whistles - Use Your Favorite Colors

Greetings, and Happy Monday to you all... Yesterday I had a busy day between blog posts, and just simply playing and creating. I promise, today I won't be posting 3 different posts.... Just this one... (I think) ha ha...

Today, Belles 'n Whistles has a brand new challenge. All you have to do to enter is to use ANY Stamp designed by Elisabeth Bell, whether it be rubber, or digital... either one will work... and then... Use your favorite color combination. It doesn't get any easier than that, does it?

Not only that, BUT..... If you play along in this weeks Belles 'n Whistles Challenge, and then add the Elphine House Australia Challenge (using your scraps) then you've already gotten 2 challenges covered... I LOVE IT when it works out that you can combine things, don't you? Not only that, but IF you're favorite color combo has something to do with Fall/Autumn colors, why not check out this months Elisabeth Bells World Challenge. It's a Fall Color Challenge.... You never know, depending on what you create and what colors you use, you may be able to enter ALL THREE challenges with just one card or project....

Alright, with all of that being said, it's time to share the card I made for today's challenge. However, this is NOT my very favorite color combination, since my favorite color combination is purple and teal, I have decided to go with my 2nd favorite combination....(Purple/Green/Mauve) What do you think???

Teddy Bo - CUTE CUTE CUTE

Post Number 3 for me today,.... I told you I was on a roll.... Since I had the day all to myself today, I had lots of time to play.... And Play I did... I played with one of my newer digi stamps from Teddy Bo & Co. Let me tell you, I have ALWAYS been a "Bear" collector... When I was a teenager, I had collected over 40 teddy bears, and they all sat on a spare bed in my bedroom. As an adult, I began collecting "Cherished Teddies" I love those little bears... and now.... Teddy Bo & Co.... HOLY MOLY these bears are too cute for words, I HAD to have a few.....

So of course today during my crafting time, I printed out this adorable little bear playing her flute, and decided to create a Thank you card. There is a challenge over at The Teddy Bo Challenge Blog, that wants to see "Things with Wings" so I added some butterflies, with heat embossing on the paper, and a clear butterfly to my little homemade tile. In the center of my flowers.....

I hope you like this card as much as I do.... She's just tooooo cute.... I love these bears so much... I want them all... ha ha

I have been having fun playing with modeling clay, and created the little tile you see here... Hmmm, I wonder what other types of embellishments I can create with it.... My brain is going to be working on ideas for that I'm sure...

It's a Farm Fresh Challenge - Halloween

Hello again... I'm on a roll... 2 posts in one day, can you imagine? LOL
I have a Bewitching Card to share with you that I created for this weeks "Farm Fresh Friday Challenge" from The Greeting Farm. And then on top of that, I decided I would actually attempt something I have never attempted to do before.... The Challenge over at Make It Colorful wanted to see people create a white fog effect on their image... YIKES... I was unsure if I could pull it off, this is definitely something that I'm going to have to work at... But okay, I did it, and it was my first attempt, so I don't think it turned out too bad for it being a first time trying.....

I colored this adorable little witch from The Greeting Farm with copics, and the little tile that I have attached, I have actually made myself using clay... I baked it, I painted it, I stamped it with the adorable little witch from the Spooktacular stamp set, also from The Greeting Farm. I added some gloss over the top, and some white distress/crackle paint around the edges. It truly does look pretty cool. I may have to do some more of these....

Now... the foggy effect.... I was not quite sure how to go about getting that look, while still being able to see through it so the image could be seen.... Hmmmm, so I thought and thought.... suddenly I remembered buying a product one time at Michaels Craft Store, that I had hoped would work like snow, it's a bit too fine for snow, but I decided that I would work perfectly for a foggy effect.... So I got out my bottle of Recollections brand white flocking powder... I used a small paint brush, and applied a thin layer of glue to the areas that I wanted to appear Foggy, then shook the flocking powder over it, tapped off the excess, and ta-dah.... it does appear as if there is a fog in the image.... I will definitely have to give this little process a little more thought, and see what I can do to get an even MORE Foggy effect.

anyway... that's all from me today... I'm off to go play, color, and create.... but who knows what.... I'll figure that out when I start... ha ha....

Fall Greetings, and Fall Colors....

Greetings my blogging friends, Ohhhh how nice it is to FINALLY be able to just click, and start typing a post. My internet woes are finally over... (I'm almost afraid to be so confident).... a total of 21 days, struggling with connections, and trying to connect through my cell phone.... WOW .... Stress was high, I can tell you that much....

So it's SO NICE to be able to just pop on here and get my post up without any issues.... Ahhhhhh, I love it.... I will never ever take having the internet forgranted again. After several phone calls, and many visits from technicians, FINALLY the problem has been solved.

Alright, enough about all of that.... I have a very Fall Festive card to share with you today. This months challenge over at Elisabeth Bells World is to use 3 or more Fall colors from a photo to inspire you....

I have to say that my card is really not the greatest... My mo'jo was just not with me over these last few weeks while I was dealing with the stress of internet issues... BUT... I did manage to get something put together....

I used an absolutely ADORABLE stamp from Belles 'n Whistles, called "Scarecrow and Little Wizard" This actually was an image that I colored a while ago. Probably last year, I can't remember, but since it was colored, I figured I would use it.... That's the way to go when you're mo'jo is on vacation. Ha Ha...

For the background papers, I actually took strips of paper, and sort of layered them around in a spiral fashion. So yes, those are all seperate papers.... I don't know WHAT I was thinking, but it didn't turn out quite like I had hoped, but regardless, it's pretty colorful, right? LOL

I traced some big leaves on green cardstock, and used some gold embossing powder and heated it... Other than that, nothing really spectacular here.... However, tomorrow there is a brand new challenge over at the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog, and wait until you see what I've made for that... Mo'jo has returned... =)

Celebrating with Mo's Digital Pencil

HOLY MOLY.... Finally after 21 days of not having any internet service.... It's on, and working better than ever.... I was beginning to think I wasn't going to be able to get this card posted....

The deadline is only 31 minutes away, so I better HURRY......

I created this card for this weeks challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil - the challenge is "Celebration" ironic that the challenge came out on Thursday the 15th, which just so happened to be MY BIRTHDAY... LOL.... And today I feel like celebrating, because my internet is finally up and working properly.....

So without wasting any more time, I think I had better get my card uploaded since I couldn't upload prior to today........

Elphine House - "Scrap It" Challenge

Hello everyone, I'm so sorry for being so quiet here.... connecting to the internet is Still a Big Problem for me. As of right now, I have officially had 20 Full Days of No Internet Service. Phone call after phone call, and appointments for a technician to come to find the problem, and Still, here I sit trying like anything to connect using my cell phone. Of course this makes things Quite Difficult.... Hopefully this crazy internet problem will be resolved very soon. It is so frustrating. We have Never had this problem in the 4 years that we've lived in this house. It's unbelievable...

Anyway, to keep things short, and hopefully I can get this to upload here, I have a card to share with you. My card for the brand new challenge over at Elphine House Australia's blog....

The Digi Bells Blog Hop and September Release

Welcome - Welcome - Welcome.... I'm so excited, Today is blog hop day, and guess what? Yesterday was my birthday. The release this month is my very own personal Digi, can you believe it?

Yes that's right **Lil' Lynda's Piano Forte** is named after me. Is this not the cutest little girl you ever saw, and ohhhhhh she's just singing her heart out. The same way that I used to when I was little.

Back at the beginning of the year. Elisabeth Bell asked all of our DT what they liked most, or what type of personalized Digi they would like to see. I described my love of playing piano and my love for dogs... and just LOOK what she came up with... I'm so head over heals in love with this brand new digi. ---- Oh I just can't even tell you. I must say that I think this is the absolute BEST birthday present I could possibly ask for. I'm truly touched. So a Huge "Thank You" to Lissy - One Truly Amazingly Special Artist. =)

It's time to welcome "Lil' Lynda's Piano Forte" to the Spectacular Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.

I , of course, just HAD to color this image to represent myself, and I colored that cute little piano the same color that my own piano is. And guess what else? You see that "Pink" dress??? Well... I'm going to show you all something that is probably a HORRIBLE picture, but It was me, just 9 years old... and in the picture, what do you think I was doing????

Oooooooooooooooooooh man.... Look at those very ugly glasses.... What was my mother thinking?? And, as a matter of fact, I think that was my very first pair of glasses.... Do you notice the colors on the dress??? pink/blue.... Same as on my card.... And my beautiful cream colored piano with gold trim. I still have that piano all these years later..... Imagine this... I was just 8 years old when my parents bought that piano, and yesterday I turned a dreaded 40 years old.... My piano is still a major fixture in my own home now. This is soon becoming an antique....Bwah ha ha..... I have had this piano for a total of 32 years.... Holy Moly..... That's getting old.... Yikes, what does that make me???

Okay, so now you've had your laugh..... Giggle - Giggle, Tee-Hee.... LOL

Seriously though, So I colored my very special Digi image with Copics, and then cut a frame from some heavier cardstock that is also in cream/gold tones. And then I just began playing around until I came up with a layout that seemed to suit me.... The pink in the background is actually pink velumn that has glittered roses in it. I debated on adding a sentiment, but I really liked the way it looked without one. So that is how I decided to leave it. One of my favorite embellishments I added was the heart shape on the side of that frame. I actually cut with scissors just a random heart shape, then began gluing it to a 2nd paper, cutting that, then gluing to a 3rd, and kept cutting is I went.... I ended up with a layer of 6 paper hearts all glued together, then I ran it through my Cuttlebug, with an embossing folder, and ta-dah..... My very own embellishment, and as thick and solid as Chipboard would be.

I'm a Guest Designer - How Cool is that???

Hello again.... Can you believe I actually have TWO posts today.... If you want to see my "School" themed project that I posted early using an Elisabeth Bell Digi, please see the post below this one. I wouldn't want you to miss it. =)

Alright, now..... Yes it's true, I am a Guest at Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog this week. And the theme for this weeks challenge is called "Love of Pets". I was so excited when I found this out, because that is absolutely the perfect challenge theme for me to play with. Then...I found this amazingly beautiful little girl digital image over at the Whimsy Shop, and I just knew that I had to have her for this challenge. This one is called "Nose to Nose" and she can be found at Whimsy Stamps under the Crissy's Digi's Catagory. Artist/Illustrator Crissy Armstrong truly captures the love between a little girl and her puppy with this one. I fell in love the minute I saw it.

Of course, the puppy was just screaming "Oreo" which just so happens to be my own puppy. Well, he's almost 2 years old now, but still very puppy like... ha ha.... So that is exactly how I colored this little cutie... He looks like my "Oreo". =)

I am also entering this card into this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge. It was a pretty nice sketch, so I just had to play along.

I used papers from DCWV, actually these three different papers came straight out of my scraps drawers. I love it when I'm able to do something like that. The Sentiment that I used is from one of The Greeting Farms Critter Crew Collections. It seemed to be the perfect sentiment for this type of card, don't you think?

The image doesn't really have the fence in the background, but I didn't want that sweet little girl to just be standing there in the middle of nowhere, sooooo, after coloring her, I decided that I should draw a background, so that's just what I did. My image and background were colored using Copic Markers, and I've used some Distress Inks for edges, and some Stickles for some accent here and there, and ta-dah.... That's it.... I don't know if I could ever part with this card, oh my how cute she truly is....

Back To School Fun with the Digi Bells

Greetings and Happy Wednesday! Today my fellow teamie Janiel and I are both sharing a posting over on The Digi Bells Blog.

We both used the same image "I Love You This Much" from Elisabeth Bells Digital Collection, and we decided between us, that we would use her to create something "Back To School themed card or project" ... Have you seen Janiels beautiful creation? She sure does create some stunning cards, doesn't she? If you haven't, why not hop over to her blog and pay her a visit and not only that..... she might have some yummy information for you there. But shhhh, you didn't hear that from me.

Okay, so we're talking about School related things, and I had this bright idea for a little notebook with this cutie on the front of it.
This is just the right size notebook for kids to write down homework assignments or any of those things that kids want to remember.

I colored "I Love You This Much" with copics, and then drew in the stone background around the Summer Window accessory both of which can be found in Elisabeth Bells Digital Collection.

Doesn't it look like a school with a very cute window? I found these adorable school books on an online coloring page from Elizabeth O. Dulemba. I just knew that they would be a perfect accessory for this little scene. So I did a lot of resizing, and brought it to the size I wanted, and ta-dah.... there you have it.... Perfect accessory.

I tied some ribbon in random places on the spirals, and then of course added some yellow school themed ribbon on the front. Punched flowers, a hand drawn ruler, that I then colored yellow also using Copics. I had so much fun messing around with this. And last but certainly not least, I used one of the sentiments from a Word Art set that are sold at Belles 'n Whistles. (and do you want to know a secret? - Those word art sets were designed by me) Shhhh, it's our little secret. ha ha...

An Absolutely GORGEOUS girl, and a Color Challenge

Hellloooooo........ I'm back with another card, for a brand new challenge over at the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge blog..... and not only that, it's a brand new month too... It's hard to believe it's September already.

I was just sitting at the table, and looking out at the trees. You know how it goes when you end up getting lost in thought? Well our leaves are already starting to change colors here in NY. Part of that may be due to our crazy storms that we've been hit with. It's been quite an eventful 2 weeks here. First Hurricane Irene hits us hard... Then the following week, a Tornato touches down, destroying a nearby town. And then a few days after that, more rain, rain, rain.... I actually left work early on Wednesday, for fear of being stranded. Then Thursday "A State of Emergency" no road travel was allowed....I wasn't able to leave to go to work even.... Crazy, I Tell You!!!
Alrighty, I'm sure you aren't wanting to read about all those horrors... the happy note here is that my internet is working well again... Finally.... It was not pleasent having all those internet issues.

This week, it was my turn to choose the challenge.... I've chosen to do a color challenge, it seems it's been a little while since we've done one of those.... So here we go....

What do you think? Pretty Primary, but I've seen some beautiful things using these colors, and just had to challenge you all to give it a try as well. Actually, now that I see it, my blog is made with these colors... ha ha.... Honestly, it wasn't planned.... How funny is that?

Here is what I created with these primary colors.... I have to say that I am absolutely IN LOVE with the outcome.

I used "Breezy Going" which just so happens to be one of the newest SweetArt Girls from Belles 'n Whistles. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE her... She's sooooo gorgeous. Yet another fabulous illustration from Elisabeth Bell.

I told you she was gorgeous, didn't I? Don't you think these colors suit her perfectly? What a beautiful little girl. She certainly is some SweetArt, isn't she?

Anyway, that will be all from me for today.... I will be back tomorrow with something else... oh oh oh, and Friday I'll be here with the absolute Most Adorable Digital Image from Elisabeth Bell. Mo's Digital Pencils "Boy Attitude" - Challenge 99

Happy Sunday everyone... I can't believe it's taken me all day to actually get this post ready.... I just kept ending up doing other things. I wanted to post this morning, but I kept getting side tracked...

Okay, so today, I'm playing along with the challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil. The theme is "Boy Attitude" - Well, I can't help but laugh a little... because I ask.... "What Boy doesn't have an attitude?" Most do... Ha Ha Ha....... that's what I tell my son anyway....

Okay, So I have something pretty cute to share with you this evening, as well as a card that I made for a boy in our classroom, who will be having a birthday this week. I couldn't resist, especially since he's Always saying "Why do you have to start with me?" No one says a word to him, and he will just come out and say that. Quite comical actually. He always gets a laugh from it.... So he's got a boy with attitude birthday card that I'm going to show here.

I used "Dante's Drum" for this card, he sort of reminds me of this silly birthday boy I know.. ha ha...

I colored my image with Copic markers, and added some Twinkling H20's to Lots of different places on this card. I only wish the shimmer showed in the photo, like it does in real life. ha ha.....

Okay, now, are you ready for what I think is just too cute??? This little project made me think of my own son when he was small. Ohhhh the tantrums he used to throw, I can't even begin to tell you....
Not only that, but this little guy actually Looks Like My Son at that age....

If you are the parent of this type of child, you will definitely want to keep this little package in your purse.... ha ha

Now, just what do you think that is???

Well, it's a box... but a box of what???

This will certainly stop a screaming child in their tracks, I promise you that!

Hmmm, I wonder what this miracle tantrum relief is!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Nice.... Yes Yes, any child in the midst of a temper tantrum will Stop Immediately if you opened up this box, and gave them a tootsie roll.

That tantrum will probably turn off, just like a light switch. I can just see it now!

So sad for my own son though, he had such a mean mother, I Never Gave In.
I just let him have his temper tantrum. - Oh My, What A Meanie... ha ha

Okay, I have a little secret to tell you...
After I took the pictures, I snitched a few of those tootsie rolls and ate them.

Magnolia Tilda and her Candy

One more post for me tonight... That is if I can get my photo uploaded. Mother nature has not been very nice to us here in Upstate NY. Just a little while ago, we had a tornato touch down just a little ways away from my house... A week ago, it was Hurricane Irene, and then this week a Tornato... What's next??? SHEEESH.....

I have a cute little card to show you, I wanted to enter into this weeks Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge. "Anything goes", and I've done their Stamp-tember Blog Hop too. Have you hopped??? There is still time...

Not only that, but this week Just Magnolia has a Monthy Challenge of "Anything Goes" with the option of adding circles. Well guess what? I have LOTS and LOTS of circles.

Are you ready to see Tilda and all her "circles"??? They sure look tasty. Makes me wish I had some M&M's here to snack on.

Talk about some Sweetness, huh? I love that way this turned out. I wish that it showed in the photo, but do you know that I tucked a piece of tissue behind that big red circle, so it would be a little bit "puffy" It really looks kind of cool that way.

Anyway, I promise, this is all I'm posting for tonight.... I just had to make sure to get this posted while I actually DO HAVE an internet connection. Because of the way things have been going here with all these storms, one never knows when we will be able to upload or not.... it tends to be a tad bit frustrating.

Sparkle and Shine - Whimsy Style...

Happy Sunday my blogging friends.....

Just a quick post from me today, I have a card to share with you that I made for this weeks Whimsy Stamps Challenge. Believe it or not, I had forgotten that I even had this gorgeous stamp. But since I've had extra time on my hands over the last couple of weeks, I've been sorting and re-organizing my stamps, and updating my cataloging system. And I came across this beauty.... A Whimsy Stamp from the Crissy Armstrong Collection - If I'm not mistaken, I think this is called "Untamed Love" and comes with 2 accessories. I've used them on my background paper. They aren't VERY Noticable, but they are there. =)

The challenge this week over at Whimsy Stamps, is "Sparkle and Shine" so that's just what I did. I thought I would also enter this into their GDT call.

I just knew I would find a perfect use for that pretty floral paper that was once a torn gift bag. Doesn't it match perfectly? The background paper is from DCWV, and the musical themed paper is just ordinary cardstock stamped with distress ink, and a musical background stamp. I've used some white stickles, and have also painted in some shadowing on the horse with some Twinkling H2O's. I only wish the camera could have shown how much this card really does shimmer and sparkle.

Christmas is Coming... Are you ready???

Greetings, my blogging friends.... Ohhhh my goodness, what a week it's been here. I've had plenty of time for crafing, since I couldn't really do much else. (well, there's always cleaning, but that's never any fun)....

Our internet has been out all week. We had a few short hours of working internet on Monday evening... and then we had an hour of it working on Wednesday, but after that.... NOTHING.... My cell phone has become my best friend. I would just die without it. I'm lucky enough to have teathering which means that my blackberry connects and works as a Modem. Sure things are slower when using it, but I CAN at least get on here and do the basics of what I need to do. Uploading pictures has proven to be almost too much for my cell phone to handle, but.... Here I am again, going to give it another try.... If it doesn't work... Well.... I will go to my parents and then finish my uploading, since their internet is working fine.... AND.... can you believe that we won't have a technician coming out to find our issues and fix them, until Wednesday of next week. OHHHHHHHH MY.... Imagine a week and a half with no working internet. I thought this week has been bad, and I'm only about half way through it....

Alright, Alright, now I've had my little complaint session. I can get back to what I came here for.... Sorry for venting, but.... You know how it goes!

This weeks challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil is a sketch challenge. Boy I really lucked out, because I had already been planning on creating a set of 12 Christmas cards, and had each image already cut in their circle shapes with my nestabilities, and I had been just sitting here coloring, and coloring, and coloring this week. Lord knows I had nothing else to do. ha ha

This sketch jumped out at me right away, and I said to myself. "I can follow that sketch for these cards". Finally I caught a little bit of luck this week.... Sooooo, considering I only had some of the images colored, I got right to work on getting the rest of them colored. Once all 12 of them were finished, it was time to play with this sketch a little and see what I could come up with.
So rather than just ONE card this week I have TWELVE to show you.... Don't worry, I don't plan on posting all 12 pictures, but I will show you a few different pictures....

PHEW.... That worked, but that's because all I did was COPY AND PASTE... no uploading involved... I turned this sketch sideways, and this is what I came up with...

Okay, so I attempted to upload.... and..... Lets just say that I am now sitting at my parents dining room table.... Shall we try again? LOL

This is a picture of what all three different cards look like. I have mae 4 cards of each of these styles. I really love the way that they've turned out. Although I love the Blue Christmas bulb, after choosing my papers, I almost think that the bulb that is blue should have been colored gold. To my eyes, the blue looks a little out of place here, but regardless, the blue is pretty.

How about that? My plan was to give this set of cards to my parents before they leave for the winter, but man, I think I want to keep them for myself... Greedy huh? I have to say, they ARE CUTE...
I didn't have the 4th Little Elf, if I had, I would have certainly used it... What a nice set this makes for someone. But no no, I won't keep them, I will still give them to my parents.

Sooooo, there you have it.... A set of Christmas Cards with such darling little elfs from Mo's.

Believe it or not, all 12 of these cards only took 1 full size sheet of DCWV Holiday paper, and the gold paper was a full size 9x11 sheet of cardstock that someone gave me. I was able to punch out 12 scalloped circles from some Christmas scraps from last year, and the flourishes were also cut from scraps. The reality is, the cost of making this set was pretty minimal.
The green background paper is actually just a plain old average piece of white every day cardstock, that I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Peeled Paint) and I litterally submerged these pieces of inked cardstock in warm water, squeezed out the excess water, and then let them dry.

I colored all of these images, using Copics. Sticking with generally the same colors on all of them

Reds - R59, R35, R29
Greens - YG67, YG17, YG03, G07

Yellows - Y21, Y26, Y0000

Browns - E00, E11, E42, E43, E95, E0000

Blues - B02, B26, B0000
Blacks - C00, C01, C03, C05, C07
and the fine tip of a Black Stampin' Up Marker.

Guess Where We're going????

Hello out there... Can you believe it? I managed to get online, but still our internet is having issues. I certainly hope that a service technician will be out to see us tomorrow. Hurricane Irene had her fun, now I think it should be my turn, don't you think??? Having internet whenever I wish should be possible, don't you agree? Oh well... Another post from me, that I'm going to keep as short as possible....

I couldn't let this challenge get away. After all, I did make a card for it, and then Boom... We lost internet for more than a day, I'm currently connected through my phone as modem. Oh boy, lets hope this works....

Alright, I created a "Back To School" themed card using TWO of Mo's digital images. Nope, these weren't meant to go together, but look at these girls, they seem to go PERFECTLY together, and great for a back to school themed card. NOW can you guess where we're going??? BACK TO SCHOOL.

So I've made this card for the challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil. AND for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge, that just so happens to also be "Back to School" themed.

I've got a couple of pictures to show, so hopefully I am able to get them uploaded here without much trouble... If not... well.... I will end up being a GRUMPY BEAR!! LOL

Well.... I left this post, and I went to bed.... Today is a new day, and STILL no internet.... I'm back on here using my cell phone as a modem, and have tried to decrese my file sizes... not the greatest quality pictures, but..... we'll see if that helps.....

Heyyyyy..... it worked.... Now lets hope I can get the open view uploaded here.....

NOPE... no such luck... I tried and tried, and it's just not happening.... I guess I will have to post just the front view... This is actually a Z Fold style card, and it's very cool looking when opened up...

I will be back to update this post whenever my regular internet comes back. I'm so frustrated...

Finally..... Gee whiz, I am completely worn out from all of my attempts to get this card posted....

We have regained internet service, but still it's a bit slower than it should be.... BUT... That's a good sign that it's at least back to working. Shhh, Maybe I shouldn't say that just yet, I might end up jinxing myself.....

AND I was able to replace the smaller photo with the actual sized photos, HURRAY!!!! =)

Alright, now, the reason I showed a close up o that little apple embellishment is because guess what?

I made it out of just ordinary red pieces of cardstock. Except it's layers and layers, and LAYERS of that same red cardstock.... This is about as thick as a piece of chipboard, but it's just ordinary cardstock... LOL Pretty cook huh?

Okay, that is all from me for today, I don't think I'm coming back into the editing or posting part of blogger for the rest of today.... *Phew - Wiping Brow*

Sunset on Halloween and a Fun Sketch

Hello out there. I hope everyone is doing well, and is surviving this terrible Hurricane. As I type this email, all I hear is severe wind, and pounding rain against the house. I thought I had better get this post typed, before we lose power or internet service....

So I hope that you don't mind, I'm scheduling this, and I'm going to try and keep this post as short as I possibly can.... (ha, imagine that) =)

Our ever to talented DT Sister "Anki" has prepared an awesome sketch for us to follow for this weeks Belles 'n Whistles Challenge. It's a simple sketch but there's a little twist... Where you see the heart shape in the sketch, she wants you to use ANY SHAPE, your favorite shape.... It does not need to be a heart....

I sure hope you'll join us and play along. Don't forget, you can use ANY Elisabeth Bell image, and you can combine challenges, so why not play? You can turn the sketch, but we want to be able to see the sketch somewhere in your creation....

Soooooo, I created my card, using "Scarecrow and Little Wizard" from Belles 'n Whistles of course. I really had a lot of fun creating a background behind this adorable stamp. My shape is obviously the star, which I thought fit perfectly with this stamp as well.

Believe it or not, this card only has ONE SINGLE Strip of paper that is actually a store bought paper. The blue background paper was made using some ink pads from Stampin' Up. Then the grayish paper that has pumpkins and the words "Boo" on it, was just a little pumpkin stamp and the word Boo that are odds and ends type of stamps that I had. I randomly stamped the plain white cardstock, colored the pumpkins, and then shaded the white part of the cardstock with charcoal chalks. I distressed the edges, and ta-dah... you have a cool looking halloween themed paper. I truly love the effect it gives this card. Distressing is lots of fun, and I thought I would enter into this weeks challenge over at The Crafty Pad - Challenge #136 Distressing & Tearing.

Now, something else here that I personally think is pretty cool....The sky behind this adorable scarecrow is meant to look like a sunset type of sky. I just HAD to attempt to create a sky that looks like the sun is setting, simply because, first I needed to see if I would be able to achive it, and 2nd, because I am also entering this card into this weeks Challenge over at Make It colorful, who is having a challenge for "Sunsets with Clouds". So here you see my sunset with clouds. It actually was bigger, until I went and used my nesties to cut the scalloped oval. But at least the sky can still be seen a little bit.

That's all from me for today....I better get this scheduled just in case.... Now lets just hope that we don't get hit too hard with any damage from this Hurricane. Time will tell, right?

A Sweet Little Treat

Happy Saturday, I honestly don't know what kind of crazy state my brain is in, THIS cute little project should have been posted yesterday, but between plans for School Shopping, and working with graphic design type of stuff, I FORGOT.... *gasp*

That's okay though, because what I'm posting is ADORABLE, and worth waiting until today. There is a brand new challenge for this month over at Elisabeth Bells World. If you haven't stopped by there yet, you will definitely want to. You should see all the beautiful inspiration the DT has given you. Not to mention if you participate I think I will be jeleous - OHHHH MY GOODNESS, the prize this month is just killing me... I WANT THAT PRIZE... and sadly I can't play to win it... Darn!!! LOL

But anyway, I guess I should stop drooling over that prize, because it's just not going to happen for me.. I should just show you what I made for that Challenge. There is a little tiny story behind my project though.... LOL You just might get a little laugh over it. But first.... Here it is...

I created this little fenced basket for a friend and co-worker. You see I am always famous for wanting to recycle, or shall I say turn something that no one wants to use into something worth using. The funny part about this project is..... My friend has this habit of ordering craft projects for her kids classes at school. She orders them from Oriental Trading, and then gets the items she ordered, and finds out that it's NOT what she had hoped, or it's not going to be a project that kids that age can really do in a certain time frame or whatever the reason. Needless to say, she had about 30 packets of these little picket fence welcome sign things... She decided she didn't want them. She brought them to work thinking that I could find a use for the kids in our class to do with them. Well when we put one together we found that our special needs kids in class would definitely not be able to handle the project. She told me she was just going to throw these kits away... OHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOO... You can't throw that away, Something can be done with them.... I just didn't know what yet....

Needless to say, I ended up with the whole batch of these little craft kits with these very thin, and not so attractive wooden pieces. I was thinking about making these little paper strawberry boxes, but didn't know yet what I would use them for. The Light Came on.... ah-ha... I will use some of those picket fence sticks that my friend gave me. I had to use a couple of packages of those fence pieces, I cut them to the height that I needed, and then started gluing them together to create my basket. Once it was together, I painted it with white craft paint. Already they looked so much nicer.

Well needless to say, the sign that is at the top of this basket, was also part of the kit it once said "Welcome" I painted that as well. So that I could use it for this adorable little Belles 'n Whistles stamp called "Belles Strawberry Tea" I used a digital sentiment that is also sold at Belles 'n Whistles in their new Word Art catagory.

Each little paper strawberry box contains 2 little jingle bells, I don't know why I did that, but I just liked the idea that these jingled, rather than just being empty.

When I gave this gift to my friend, she loved it, and can you believe I had to make her look closely at what it was made out of ??? She didn't even recognize the pieces that once belonged to all of her craft packets that she gave me. Once she realized, she couldn't believe it, and then said... "I KNEW you would figure out something to do with them".... So you see? Be careful of what you might throw away. It could come to be useful for something one day.... ha ha

Happy Thursday! I've got a sort of vintage card to share with you today. My sweet DT Sister Janiel and I both posted today over on The Digi Bells Blog, and of course I am sharing my post here on my own blog as well.

Now, this card was really kind of random, I had absolutely NO IDEA what I wanted to do with this darling new Digi. Especially since I had just used her a little less than a week ago. I think my brain has gone on vacation. BUT.... believe it or not I used vintage Christmas papers for my card, you'd never know, I guess it all depends on how you decorate it, right?

It just so happened that one of my holiday paper pads was sitting near by, and some little light went on in my head while I was coloring... Saying to myself.. "Hmmmm, I wonder what kind of papers I could use here, that are not necesarily Christmas themed. Well.... You're about to find out what I found....

I wanted to make this image appear to be an old photo. I think it ended up looking that way, what do you think? I even wrote a date very very tiny along the border of the "old photo" the way that old photos once had...

I colored this adorable new Digi with my copics, and used my vintage photo distress ink for the edges.
This Digital Image is called "Lots of Love" and can be found in Elisabeth Bells Digital Collection. Why not stop by and browse her awesome collection. Something adorable just may catch your eye. =) Although I tend to think they are ALL adorable.

I Scream for ice cream

Hello out there in Blogland....
I haven't posted in a few days, I've been busy busy busy... It's my vacation time, and I haven't left the house, BUT... I've been getting some much needed organizational time, as well as some nice long afternoon naps. Ahhhh, I love a long afternoon nap now and then... No nap for me today though... I have to get things done, as well as scheduling this post, I will be out for dinner with my hubby, to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. Hmmmm, wonder where he's taking me....

Anyway... This weeks challenge over at

In following the "Ice Cream" theme I used "Tell Tail Ice Cream" from Elphine House , and designed by the very talented Ms. Elisabeth Bell herself. Ohhhh that girl and her talent. AMAZING! That's all I can say!

If you've been on the Elphine House Challenge Blog, you may have noticed that our DT all seemed to use this very same image. (I almost knew we would) it's PERFECT for this challenge.
Except for Kathy and her creative mind... Wow, you should see what she's created!

Anyway, here is my mini card, and ice cream treat holder.

I didn't really have a template for an ice cream cone, however, I did have a template for an Icicle Treat Box, that I did some altering to. You can find it here.

I used my embossing folders and my cuttlebug to create the waffle cone appearance.
I had so much fun making this little ice cream cone.
Of couse if you are going to give someone a gift in a cute little box like this, then you would need a card to match, right?
Using the same embossed paper, inked with distress ink, you can see here where I used my nestabilities and my very adorable Elphine House Stamp to create the matching card.

Good Evening! Just a quick post here for me this evening. I happened to find out that Whimsy Inspiration Blog has a weekly challenge. I don't know where my head has been, and why I never thought to enter their challenges. But after the work I've done over the last 2 days, I felt that these cards needed to be entered.

It just so happens that the theme for this week is called "A Stitch In Time" and guess what? Each and every one of these baby shower cards have faux stitching around the adorable Baby Shower Image from Whimsy Stamps.

A friend of mine wanted some baby shower invitations, and had asked me if I would be willing to make them. She wanted them to be unique and just a tad bit extra special. Soooooo, this is what I came up with.

EVERYTHING was made from scratch. The paper was just a simple pale blue piece of cardstock. So I started there and began designing the background to the cards, inking, and stamping, then heat embossing the edges.... THEN came the tedious part... Coloring 25 of these little cuties....

After finishing all of that last night, this morning I began the cutting, and assembling process for the back side of the invitations. These cards do not open up like a card should, but rather is like a post card, that will fit nicely inside an envelope.

Finally, this evening I finished with the assembly, and then sat down, and added "Baby Blue" Stickles to the umbrellas. I used a small paint brush to spread the Stickles so that the entire umbrella would be covered, in just a thin layer of Stickles.

Here are all 25 cards as they are set out to dry...

I have 2 invitations side by side in this photo, one is showing the front, and the other shows what the back looks like....

I'm sighing with relief, simply because I worked for 2 days straight, and I'm the type of person that starts something, and then can never find a place to stop. I don't stop until the job is finished.

The stamps that I used for the background on the front of the card are from "The Greeting Farm's Scrapbook Kit called "Spotlight" and the baby foot prints I think are from Stampendous.

Have you ever kept a "Travelers Journal"???

Good Evening.... I've been having such a fun day today, not that I'm happy that we are getting major rain storms, BUT.... Gloomy days are a perfect excuse to spend the day crafting, right?

Today, I just couldn't help but to create a journal for taking notes about all the fun stuff someone does while they are driving from state to state. Heaven knows I could probably fill this book rather quickly. There are always things that I see, and want to remember, or something funny that happened, that I wouldn't want to forget. Of course there are always those little momento's you gather along your travels, such as ticket stubs, bottle caps, unique cocktail napkins, you name it, you are bound to find it along your travels... Wouldn't a journal to jot your thoughts and memories in, be fun????

Sooooo, my Travelers Journal has 20 pages, double sided, leaving lots of room for writing, and tacking things inside.

I used my Magnolia stamps, simply because they are just so darn cute. Did you know that Just Magnolia's Challenge Blog is having a challenge with the theme of "Holiday".... Aiming more for the summer holiday, what could be better than a journal for your travels?
Soooo, here goes, I'm officially entering the Just Magnolia Challenge. Wow, I haven't entered a challenge over there in a LONG TIME.... I must say, I miss playing with my Maggies...

and here is a photo from an angle, so that you can see the light blue pages. I have used my zutter distress -it-all to distress all of these pages, it really gives the book a nice full look. You would never know that there are only 20 sheets there. It looks like more, right?

Do you notice anything in Edwins pocket? LOL A torn piece of the map, rolled up, so it appears like he's carrying a map in his pocket. Isn't he handsome?

Good Morning, and a happy Monday to you all. It's gloomy and rainy here in NY today, but it doesn't matter to me, I'm just relieved to finally be free from work for the next 3 weeks. Sleeping in later didn't happen, my body must think I'm not allowed to do that. ha ha....

So with a cup of coffee in hand, I went to my craft room. I love mornings like that....

Anyway, you didn't come here to read all about that, did you?

Today we have a brand new challenge over on the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog. And it's an easy one. "ANYTHING GOES".... so all you need to do is use ANY of your Elisabeth Bell designed stamps, and create something and enter... Of course if you DO happen to use a stamp from Belles 'n Whistles, then you could have a 2nd entry into the drawing. More details about that, can be found over at the challenge blog.

I created a cute little note holder with pen set. In our classroom at school, one of our teachers LOVES her index cards. She uses them for everything. So I thought it would be a cute idea to create this "index card" holder for her. Also, considering she is always losing her pen, I figured the pen holder would help. The adorable image I used for this is called "Story Time" from Belles 'n Whistles SweetArt Girls 1st set.

This cute little box also fits perfectly into this weeks 7 Kids College Fund Challenge. Anything BUT a Card. Yep, it fits, because this is NOT a card. AND..... "Story Time" is sold in the 7 Kids College Fun Shop... =)

Not only that, but "Story Time" is the perfect stamp for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge - The Dog Days of Summer. So This just HAS TO BE entered there as well.

This is a nice solid box, and doesn't tip over easily, which is definitely what I was hoping for.
Believe it or not, I used the box cover from a Scrabble Game to create this box, including the base of the box. That old scrabble game had seen better days, but I think I can say I've given the box lid new life with this little project.

Now, before I leave, I just have to share another thing I recently created.

This one is for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

They wanted us to use "ALL WHITE"What could be more perfect than an all white wedding card?

I just so happen to have the absolute PERFECT stamp for this very occassion.

All Aboard....
One of my Design Teamies, Janiel, and I thought we'd ride the same train today.
ha ha...

We thought we'd share a post together over on The Digi Bells Blog. each of us using the same image
We've chosen to use this adorable little guy called
"Toot Toot"He of course can be found in Elisabeth Bells Digital Collection
You know you want him, admit it. LOL

I've taken a closer picture of the image, simply because he's just too cute, I had to photograph him some more.

Believe it or not, this wall hanging is approximately the size of a 12x12 piece of Paper.
I enlarged the Digital Image, and yes I even drew, colored, and cut out each individual rail road track piece. I really wanted to use some wire over the tracks, but I didn't have any on hand, so I carefully used embroidering floss.
I think it came out pretty darn cute.

I'd love it if you visited Janiel's Blog too, and see what adorable creation she's made using this image.

This card was made with a sort of randomness, because I really just wanted a completely out of the ordinary look. I think I succeeded. ha ha....

The stamp that I have to show you today is called "Patches & Braids" you may remember seeing her a few years ago, when she was called "Reflective" but with the rebirth and new ownership of these SweetArt girls, they also got new names. =) I think this one fits her perfectly. I just Loved coloring her, and her beautiful braids.

I loved creating this gate fold card. I haven't made one in such a long time. The papers I used are all from an older DCWV paper stack that I once had. Believe it or not, I must have been saving this paper... I found it in one of my paper drawers. ha ha... You see, when you have a favorite, and you save it, you will sooner or later forget you have it, and then one day, Ta-da, there it is... So it was a nice thing to find, it worked out perfectly for me. I LOVE these papers.

The sentiment that I used is from a new set of Word Art that I made especially to go along with some of the cutest Belles 'n Whistles stamps. Summer has these digi sentiments in her shop right now.... How exciting is that?

Here we are, it's Monday again, and the summer seems to be flying by. I can't believe it's August already. Come to think of it, Today is my Hubby's birthday....

Today I have a very girly card to show you. I created this "Cupcake" shaped card using none other than "Cupcake" from Belles 'n Whistles. She's perfect for this girly shaped card, don't you think?

The challenge this week over on the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge blog was chosen by our lovely Kathrin, and she says "Oh So Girly" is the theme. So come on over, and join us, showing us your "girly" side.

I used white flocking powder for the first time on this card. I saw it in the store, and thought I'd like to try it. Once dried, it didn't seem to stay as much as I had hoped. Or shall I say it only kept a very thin layer, I was hoping for a little more of a fluffy look. That is when I decided to add the cotton candy colored Stickles, to help make the icing look a little more full and textured. I'm glad I bought the flocking powder, I'm sure I will find some uses for it, but using it for creating a frosting effect on cakes etc, isn't really the ideal place for it. Anyone have any tips??? I'd love to hear them.

My Final Post....

Greetings Friends, today I am posting my final post as a DT member for Phindy's Place. I can't believe it. I've been with the team since the beginning, and I've gotten to watch Phindy's Place grow.
I'm feeling a little bit sad, but I know that moving on is just a part of life.... Change is always hard to deal with....

I've created the card I have to show you today, to go along with this weeks FABULOUS Phindy's Challenge. using Die Cuts. And my card is a Thank You Card. Simply because I want to show my thanks to Phindy, and the rest of the Phindy's DT for all the fun and inspiration they's all shared over the last year and a half.

I used this beautiful "Hyacinth and Ivy" digi from Phindy's Online Shop. and then I went a little crazy with my nestabilities.

Thank you Phindy for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your design team. =)

The Details:

I colored this image using Copic Markers, and for embellishments, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The punches that I used are one of the Martha Stewart "Punch Around The Page" punch sets, and the others, are nestability die cuts.

I hope to see a lot of entries into this weeks Challenge, you just can't go wrong with punches and / or die cut shapes, right?

EHA's Pink and Blue Color Challenge....

Greetings My Blogging Friends.... It's that time again.... Time for another challenge over at Elphine House Australia's Challenge Blog. I can't believe it, our first challenge ever was awesome, and I'm so glad several people participated. It was fun to see the wonderful cards everyone made.

This weeks Challenge is a color challenge “Shades of Pink and Blue” If you own any stamps or Digi's illustrated by Elisabeth Bell, I hope you'll find some time to come over and play with us.

Here is the card I created for the challenge. I used "Yummy Pudding" for my card, she seems to be a popular girl with the DT this week. Is it any wonder? She's GORGEOUS..... I just can't get enough of Elisabeth Bells Designs. =)

and here is a picture of the inside.... I left it blank so that this card could really be used for any occassion.

The tiny little stamp that I used inside, is part of the "Change-a-Belles" collection from Belles 'n Whistles.
My images were colored using Copic markers, which just so happens to be my FAVORITE coloring medium. I just loved coloring this little sweetie, and using shades of pink and blue was so much fun.

Practice makes perfect, so they say, .... I wonder if I will ever master the art of sewing a straight line. ha ha ha...

Double Up with Phindy's Place

WOWEE, can we say HEAT WAVE??? Is any one else dealing with these extreme temperatures? Thank God for air conditioners.
Well it's Friday again, and we have another Fun Challenge over at Phindy's Place Challenge Blog this week. We want to see you double up on something. Whether it be 2 images, or 2 papers, 2 flowers, 2 embelishments .... etc. You get the idea, right?

I just HAD to double the fun with my images, something I LOVE doing.... I used "Flying" and "Free Wheeling" from Phindy's Place Shop, You can find both of these Digi stamps in the Wee Babbies catagory.

I had a lot of fun making this card look very "boyish", I didn't use any flowers, just lots of flourishes, and twine. I am in love with the outcome of this card. I colored my images with Copic Markers, and used Distress Inks for the aged edges look.

A complimentary color would be the Opposite of a certain color... For instance, if you use Black, the opposite would be white... Using this color wheel, if you use Yellow, your complimentary color would be purple. Sooooooo......We would love to see your creations using "Complimentary Colors"

So for my card today I used shades of Blue and dark Yellows. I used the ever so adorable "Happy Mail" from Belles 'n Whistles SweetArt Girls Collection. She's just precious isn't she?

I used copics for coloring, and added a little bit of Twinkling H20's to her shirt. It doesnt show in the picture very well, but her shirt has a nice shimmer to it. I just love that effect! I also used some white crackle paint around the edges. I am quite happy with the result.
