Friday Sketchers # 60

Greetings!
I had a little bit of time for some card making today,
so I thought I'd start by getting a card made for the
"Friday Sketchers Challenge"
I have not participated in this challenge in a while
so I thought that I'd like to this time.

I followed the sketch, but took the liberty to
just sort of "twist" it a little.
I just felt the need to do it, don't ask me why. LOL

I used one of my very own digi images
called "Break Dancing Rodney" for this card.
The circles on the sides my son insists look like records,
but I told him that they were meant to look like
Boom Box Speakers! LOL
I created them, and made them so that they would
be the perfect size to punch with my Stampin Up 1 and 3/8" punch.
Colored them two shades of gray, and put some silver glitter on,
And there you have the booming speakers.

Rodney is so adorable as he's break dancing! As for the paper.... A friend of mine found packages upon packages
of this orange type of papers in different designs
most of which are different types of circles, but she got them
for ONE DOLLAR! She went nuts and bought 10 packs
Gave some to me, and personally I am sick of seeing it in my paper drawer.
Soooo, I thought this would be the perfect time to use it.

I distressed the edge of the white and the blue card stock a little bit
and colored Rodney with my Copics.

There really isn't so much more to tell, it's sort of a "Simple" card,
but still I'm in love with little Rodney, and couldn't wait to actually color him.
If you are interested,
you can find him along with a few others,
in my Etsy shop
"Cut-It-Out Paper Crafts"

What a fun card. The orange paper was perfect for the dance theme. Love your boom box speakers or records. They could be either one.
And congrats on your etsy store!!
