Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge - and National Card Making Day Post

 Hey there,
Happy "World Card Making Day" everyone!
I have a card to show you for today,
I technically didn't make this card today,
But last night instead.
I'm sure I will have some crafting time today as well,
but wanted to have a card ready to post for today.

I decided to follow a sketch that
those Diedrich Dare Devils posted over at
"Whimsical Wednesdays"
However, my card is really not
Shabby Chic!
The sketch is cool though, and it gave me a chance
to use my "Keep Cozy" set from
The Greeting Farm
so I thought...why not join in?

I'm sorry but wouldn't you know my red ink ran a little
when I was making my faux stitching.
That white paper is actually the textured glittered paper
that I used an ornament design embossing folder on.
Little did I realize that my ink would run between the little
granuals of glitter.  Grrrrrrrr, I was not to thrilled with that
but I decided that I would go ahead and finish the card
and use it anyway, I thought it sort of looked unique,
and definitely "hand drawn"

So here you have it,
my very unique "keep cozy" faux rimmed tag card
and aren't these little snowmen adorable?
You just KNEW I was going to say that, right?
Well???? Aren't they?  LOL

Hope you are all having a great Card Making Day!

A little Add On to this post!

Now.... How about a little fun with some boys that
I found laying around the house today?

I conned them into creating a card for
National Card Making Day!
One was happy to do it, the other....
Well, lets just say he complained and tried to
hurry through it all...
I think you can tell which one is the "rushed" card
Leave it to MY SON to be the one who didn't want to do it!

after showing you theirs, I will show you the one I made
while they were creating theres..
I think mine took a little longer than theirs did. LOL

Yeah that one would be my son...LOL
Not too shabby for a first try.
but SLOW DOWN Boy!  ha ha

Here is my nephew, Rusty's card... Nice Job Kiddo!
and now mine
of course I am not going to say much
except I used some awesome papers from
The Basic Grey Indian Summer
paper stack, and of course this gorgeous image
need I say more? LOL
