TGF's "Little Contest" of Casing Marie's card!

Imagine my surprise when I happened to
find out that there is a little fun contest going on over at

The challenge is to case the card that Marie made.
Now those are some pretty big boots to fill.
I can't imagine having to follow the footsteps of
the designer herself!
YIKES!

But either way, it was sure to be fun trying, right?
Here is her card!

And now I'll show you my first card,
I have to admit that I am not too thrilled with the way it
turned out....No no, this would never do.
I was in love with the idea of making the new
Cheeky "Rockabilly" into a little Irish girl,
But sitting on that Basket of clovers from
"Alota Stamps" just didn't suit her.
See what I mean?
I don't know, maybe it was the papers, but either way
this card was NOT going to satisfy me...
So this morning after I had a couple of cups of coffee,
I set out to give it another try.

This time I decided to go with NO Designer Papers... AT ALL!!!
I created my own, Then I sat here and colored each and every
one of the little shamrocks, and all the little gold coins.
I designed the paper in Adobe photoshop, but did not
use any color in the program, It was meant to print out
in black & white so that I could color it with my copics.
I placed the Cheeky Rockabilly on a little pot of gold
and then placed a shamrock in her hand, To top it all off,
I added a cute little Leprechaun hat on top of her head!
She may not be a "Santa Baby" like Marie's card is,
But she's ready to say
"Top 'O The Mornin' To Ya"
I used the same nesties that Marie used, but
I colored the one behind my image to resemble the Irish Flag.

Maybe getting a little more sleep last night
is what I needed in order to get the desired result.
Sick with a head cold is not so fun, and it certainly
has a way of effecting your crafting mojo.
But this morning, I think I finally got the result I was hoping for!

She's a sexy one eh???

Thanks for stopping by!
