Phindy's Place Friday Challenge ..."Freebie / Frugal Challenge"

of the 5 day Blog Hop

Good morning!  I can't believe it's Friday already.  It's time for another Phindy's Place Challenge.  This week it's all about being Frugal, and using a Freebie.... whether it be a FREEBIE image from Phindy's Place... (You can find some of them on Phindy's PCP Page)  OR you can use a freebie paper or something else that you got for free on your card, but you MUST use a Phindy's image ....

My freebie might surprise you....
I used only a small part of an image from Phindy's that she had as a freebie at one time.  Remember the Dessert Border???  Does this delicious cake look familiar???

I masked the image, and then used a holiday poinsettia stamp to liven it up in the background a little.... and yes, I drew the plate for the cake to sit on... LOL   What do you think?

I hope none of you are taking notice of how crooked my sentiment is....  The truth is, that this is my first attempt, and when I messed up that sentiment I was mad, and was about to throw this one in the garbage and start over....  I've been home sick for 2 days, an finally went to the the Dr.today...  When I found that I couldn't possibly sit and color, and the way my hands were shaking, I decided that I had to just back up, and use this one anyway....  I hope that you'll forgive me...  =(

So okay, you see my mistake... I promise I will try not to have this happen again... ha ha

I also have a 2nd picture of my card, which includes the rubber stamp that I used to mask my dessert border cake....

So there you have it....  Thanks for taking the time to stop in and check out my Phindy's Freebie or Frugal card ....  I hope you will find some crafting time, and join us for this weeks challenge.  =)

Your card is beautiful, Lynda!! I think your sentiment looks just fine. There's no rule that says everything has to be squared! :) I love how you used the stamp in back. FABULOUS card!!
