Some Cute Kids Valentine Ideas, and "Spring is in the Air" (I wish)

Happy Friday Everyone....  It's another fun filled Friday with a couple of challenges.  I am combining my posts to save a little time for myself, again!!!   I'm still feeling exhausted, I don't know what's gotten into me, maybe all of this yucky winter weather, I could really use some sunshine and warmer temperatures...

But on with the Challenges.
This weeks Challenge over at The Stamping Bazaar is  "Valentines"  using a Stamping Bazaar image of course!

My project for The Stamping Bazaar's Challenge this week ended up being a set of 6 Valentine gifts for the kids in our classroom at school.  I needed to make them, and thought that these adorable little cuddly critters would be perfect for such things as these little treat bags.  Although, coloring the images when I reduced the size to nothing more than 2 inches tall, was a bit more tricky.   But overall I think the kids will love these...  I wanted to embellish a little more, but decided against it, since I know that these will be ripped open within minutes after receiving them.  Yikes!  Wouldn't want my embellies to go to waste so quickly, would I?  It would make me cringe!  I'd have to shut my eyes real tight!!!

I used Marvin with Daisies and Chickie's Valentine which just so happen to be two of the 3 Valentines Digi's released recently.  I just love Marina Neira's cuddly little critters. She also has a special Valentines Sale going on for the new releases right now.  Other images used for these kids Valentines are Shy Sammy, Horus Roasting Marshmallows, Marvin the Batand last but not least, Josie in a Hat.

I hope you'll find some crafting time, and join us over at The Stamping Bazaar for this weeks Challenge....  "Valentines".

Now for my next post......
Phindy's Place Challenge Blog has a fun "Spring is Coming" Challenge going on starting today.  I wanted to create something a little bit different than the "standard" card.  So I created an adorable little flower pot card.  It opens up from the top, but unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the inside.   I used this adorable little girl from Phindy's Place called "My Love Grows".  I thought it would be the perfect image for this type of card.  What do you think?

I used a lot of random paper flowers that I had either punched or cut at some point or another.  Basically I just dug right into some stash that's been tucked away for a while....  It certainly came in handy to have it.  I just knew there was a reason that I had saved them.  ha ha

I stumbled here from Phindy's Place to have a closer peak at that breathtaking flower pot! I am so in love with your flowers and the pot ~ it really looks FAB! The treat bags are scrummy and I WANT ONE! lol They would also go great with this weeks Love is in the air theme at The Crafty Pad. Hope you don't mind but I also have to follow a talent like yours!

What a dazzling array of flowers, Lynda! Even if they are random ones you saved, they have come together really beautifully here - it definitely says "Spring!"
Thanks for the great project!

Fab flowerpot Lynda. It must have taken some time to construct, even with pre-punched flowers! Great card.

When I first saw this card, I thought you had decorated a flower pot-neat idea and then I saw that it is in fact, a beautiful card! Love it!

Your treat bags are precious, too.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I think the lack of sunshine and cold does make us all just want to hibernate!
