A Little Something Different - Elisabeth Bell's July 2016 Digi Release

My oh my, it's been a crazy few weeks here for me.  Needless to say, I have really struggled in the Mojo department.  However, I managed to finish up just in time.

My "project" for this months Digi Bell's Blog Hop is a bit different, something I just had to attempt, and thankfully it worked.  LOL

Hopefully, you are joining the Digi Bells for this months Blog Hop, and you should have arrived here from Sebrina's Blog.  If not, please go back to the Digi Bell's Blog, and hop along with us.
You could be one of the 3 lucky winners of these two darling Digi's.

I have created a hand fan.  No, not that fancy accordion fold style fan. (I think that might be for the sophisticated people to use, I am definitely not that)  LOL

But living in the south, we have had some extremely hot temperatures over the past 2 weeks, and I couldn't help myself.  I just wanted a fan with a handle that I could pick up at any given moment, and use it....  So that's exactly what I set out to make....

This is quite durable, but what makes it even better is that it is SO STINKING CUTE....

On one side I've used BOTH of the Digi's that are being released today, They are just so perfect for using together.  However, photographing this project wasn't exactly the easiest.  But here goes.....

This adorable little sunshine is also a digi from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.
He is called "Mister Sunshine"
The butterfly, however, is NOT an available digi, but is an accessory stamp also by E.B.
Once part of a kit that I had gotten from Whiff of Joy, I believe.

The tree was drawn in, and colored,

A view from an angle, I wanted to show the 3D effect that I did for these two little dolls.
I thought it turned out pretty good.

and of course I didn't only decorate the front, The back matches as well,
Do you see that adorable vibrant beach ball?
Well the entire back is THAT ball, and colored the same way.

All of my coloring has been done with Copic markers, and my sky background was done with Stampin' Up Chalks.

In between the 2 circles, (inside the center of this fan) I've used a round cardboard cake board.
This gave this fan some durability.
I've coated a thin layer of Mod Podge over everything, just to seal and protect it from dirt or normal wear.
DO I INTEND ON ACTUALLY USING THIS FAN?

ABSOLUTELY......

As a matter of fact, I already have, and believe me....

When waving this it really creates quite a breeze.

A strange project maybe, but DEFINITELY worth every minute of my time.
It is both Useful, and Adorable to look at.

I hope you enjoyed my creation today.

Now it's time to hop on over to Andrea's Blog, Such a talent, she surely has some gorgeous inspiration to share with you as well.

What a wonderful idea! And it's to be 114 here in Phoenix today and a fan would be wonderful! What a very cute scene you created on the back of this fan! Hugs, Gail

Aw. So sweet. Would be wonderful to have one here in the Netherlands at the moment, it's now 30 Degrees above zero at the moment, luckly a thunderstorm cooled it down here a bit.. But still to hot for me..

Best wishes
