I have just finished my card for this weeks "Get in Shape" challenge
at Just Magnolias Blog.
I didn't want to use the obvious type shapes,
SO - I just HAD to be Different.
I have to tell you that this shape,
and layout was a complete brain storm on my part.
I am one of those people that have a severe flip flop fetish!
So of course the first thing I thought of was...
"HOW COOL WOULD IT BE TO CREATE A FLIP FLOP CARD"
Well I thought and thought, and then set out to create my design.
I think it turned out just okay, because now that it's finished
I have thought up other ideas, so I will for sure use this idea again.
One thing I have to tell you though, before I show you the card.
For some reason, when I photographed this card,
my glittered paper I used for the flip flop straps,
ONLY APPEAR to not match
but in REAL LIFE - they do match,
the same pink that I used to colorTilda's bandanna -
AND the three little flowers are punched from SHINY paper,
they also are shades of pink that DO MATCH....
So why it photographed so much differently - Who Knows!
So okay, Now....
Here's my very own designed pair of FLIP FLOPS!I colored Tilda with my Copics, and the DP is from DCWV
(even the glittered paper)
I still just can't get over how "OFF" this card looks in this picture
with the glittered paper and punched flowers
having the appearance of NOT MATCHING
I SWEAR THEY REALLY DO!
It's really driving me nuts - can you tell? LOL

I love the card, of course you would choose FLIP FLOPS. Did you have a template for the sandals or did you draw them yourself? Very cute!!!
