This weeks challenge over on the
"Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog"
is challenging us to use the colors Brown & Blue.
I wasn't so sure I was going to participate this week,
but then since a friend at work wanted a thank-you card
I decided that I would do something a little
different than what I normally do.
So I decided to go for the Brown & Blue challenge
and make my coloring sort of like an old photo.
I have to say that I didn't think that I would be able to pull it off,
but I am actually thrilled with the outcome.
I will definitely be doing this sort of coloring again in the future.
I'm sure my friend will like this card as much as I do.
For the papers, I ended up using several shades of
browns from my scraps and the patterned papers are from
Stampin' Up. I punched a small flower from coordinating
S.U. paper and then the polka dot flower is from Heidi Grace.

This turned out beautiful...it reminds me of something "cowboy-ish". I wasn't so sure I'd like it when you were describing it to me but it's great!
