Tuesday already..... where is the time going?
I'm not complaining though, because today
is our last day of school (2 weeks off)
Then starts our schools 6 week summer program.
I have mixed feelings this morning.
We will have one student leaving our class
and our school permanently today.
Part of me is relieved, and the other part
is sad to see him go.
Working with Special Ed kids is truly a blessing
but I have to say that this child has definitely
given me a run for my money.
I have no doubt that he's the reason that
I come home and fall asleep each evening. LOL
It's true I'll miss him, but I am sure I won't miss
the constant battle I have had with him.
Okay enough of my rambling.
I have 2 cards to show you this morning.
First my card for the
Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge
There is a great sketch there this week,
and I decided that I'd make a soccer themed
boys birthday card for it.
What's even better is that I won the set of
Co-Ed Soccer kids stamps the other day
From Rubberneckers June release.
Imagine my surprise when they arrived already yesterday.
I HAD to play a little.
Then on to my DT responsibilities,
My Digital Stamp Oasis card.
I have to be honest, I just wasn't feeling it Sunday night
when I started creating this card, I just couldn't get my
mind in the right mind set.
This is also a birthday card, probably more geared toward a boy.
My son picked the papers because I thought that his ideas would
be fresh and new. I'm not so sure I like the papers he picked
but I made it work. LOL
I really didn't care for the "Plain" appearance of
the green striped paper, so I used a Stampin' Up
Jumbo Wheel called "So Swirly" to add
some black flourish type of design to the paper.
I think that old train could use a new paint job on it's
engine, don't you? LOL
You can find these adorable Squirrel images on the
Digital Stamp Oasis Etsy site.
There are many to choose from.
I fell in love with these little critters, and now they feel as though
they've become a big part of my life. Go figure! LOL
Okay, now I'm off to work.
Hope you have a GREAT day, and thanks for stopping by.

Had to come over and check yours.
Love the cards you made today. Beautifull coloured papers and cute images.

Hey, thanks for joining us at Sunday Sketch & Stamp. I think your football card is fantastic - I know plenty of little (and big) boys who would love to recieve that.
