designed by Elisabeth Bell
I know that our DT has been very busy

Not ONE, but TWO winners will be chosen this time around.
WHAT do you have to do for a chance to win this months
COMPLETE release???

Leave us a comment and let us know you were here.
It's that simple.

These gorgeous stamps go on sale starting Tomorrow
October 31st at the Belles 'n Whistles Store, and
will begin shipping out next week.  How exciting!

Now, with all of that being said,
I guess I can finally show you what I've created for this
fun filled event!

In sticking with our cooking theme
I thought that I would bake some cookies from scratch,
Everyone loves to have home-made cookies for the holidays
don't they?
Well, I made "Oatmeal Raisin Cookies"
but why?
Take a look at what I've created using this
precious "Jingle Bells" image from Belles 'n Whistles.

The jar is a perfect little holiday gift for someone.
Of course it only contains the dry ingredients for these
VERY YUMMY old time favorite.

Did you see my 2 tier cookie platter?
Yes I even made that.
I should have taken a closer picture, but forgot to do it!
I used 2 different size cardboard cake trays,
and covered them with some Christmas cardstock from DCWV.
I then glued lace around the edges, and mounted them on a pedestal
that I already had.  The lower level is raised just a bit, by using a
round cardboard gift box lid, also covered with matching paper.
It worked beautifully!

Now for the answer as to why I chose
"Oatmeal Raisin Cookies"
Do you see what that adorable little elf is feeding
that sweet little reindeer?
He's got OATS!
I used OATS!

I layered the dry ingredients in the jar in a decorative way
then decorated the jar just a little bit.
If I did it too much, the ingredients wouldn't show,
The tag and photo on the front match,
and inside the tag I have typed out
the remaining ingredients and baking instructions!

The recipe for these delicious cookies will be posted below.
But before I do that,
I thought I'd show you a closer view of the card that I made
to go along with this yummy little gift.

Once again, you see the "Jingle Bells" image is used,
along with some beautiful holiday papers from
Basic Grey's "Eskimo Kisses" pack.
Prima Flowers, some ribbon, and a whole
lot of love went into this card.
In fact, I am so in love with this card that
I don't even know if I will be able to part with it. LOL

Old Fashioned
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup raisins
1 1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup butter

1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all dry ingredients and then
Whip butter until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla and beat until mixed.
Stir in the ingredients from this jar until well combined.
Drop 1 Tbsps of dough on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

I hope that you have enjoyed your visit here,
now hop on over to Kathrins blog
and see what she has to show you!
I'm sure it will blow you away!
