3 Challenges - 2 Cards - 1 Post.......Whimsical Wednesday, TGF's FFF, and Friday Sketchers

Okay since I've posted here already this morning
I thought I would get the rest of the things posted
in just one post.  I think it just makes it easier.

So okay.... FIRST I have the card that I made for
Whimsical Wednesday's Challenge
Little Jack is daring us to create something with his sketch.

I decided I would use my newest stamp set
from "Whimsy Stamps" for this Whimsical Challenge.
This carousel horse set is GORGEOUS so I couldn't
wait to use it!

So in sticking to Jacks sketch, this is what I came up with

I just love pinks & greens together, so I couldn't resist
using those colors for this beauty!  Boy does this ever
bring back some childhood memories.
When I was a kid, I had a few different ceramic
carousel horses, and honestly I have no idea what happened
to them!  I used to have a carousel horse that you could
wind up and it spun and played music!
That was my favorite - Hmmm, What a bummer that I
don't have those anymore!

Okay, so for the next card, I combined 2 different challenges.
I thought I would combine the challenge this week for
The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday
along with the sketch from
Friday Sketchers

The challenge over on the Greeting Farm was to
incorporate a photo into your project.
Well here was my chance to show a picture of my
friends daughter, and how much she reminds me of
"Ruby" one of the newest Wild Sprouts from The Greeting Farm.

I just wish the picture wasn't so dark, not the greatest quality
but it works.  In reality her hair is much lighter,
and she truly does resemble Ruby.
So on this card, Alex meets Ruby, and it's definitely
Double Trouble all the way!

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, quite loosely by
turning it upside down, and moving
the circle shape up a little, then of course
adding the sentiment and flowers changes the appearance
a little bit. I couldn't help myself, I really just needed to be
sure to accent the photo on the card.

Actually what I made was a card front, and I think
instead of finishing it off as an actual card, I will give it to my
friend so she can use it in one of the scrapbooks that she is
making for her daughter.

Here is another picture of Alex, I'm telling you..
She could be "Ruby"... How funny!
I'm thinking I should have used this one on the card instead!

So there you have it, and I am almost caught up
with the challenges that I wanted to participate in for this week.

That's all from me for today!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak!
