TGF Cares, A Spoon Full of Sugar, Whimsical Wed and something fun!

Wow I have a lot to post this evening...  I've been a busy busy girl today, working on all kinds of things!
So instead of talking so much I think I'll get right to posting.

1.  A Spoon Full Of Sugar has a challenge this week is called "One for the Boys"  which means, something that is Male inspired.  Well that was easy!!!  I decided to combine a "Get Well" card, that I was creating for the TGF Cares Charity Card Drive.  I used my brand new Oliver stamp.  He's so cute, I just know he'll put a smile on someones face, and brighten their day.

Now doesn't he just make you smile?

2.  Whimsical Wednesday - The Diedrich Dare has a color inspired challenge this week.  I just HAD to play along, simply because I LOVE the color combo.  We were to use Pink & Brown.  I decided I would then use another one of my newest TGF Stamps.  This one is Dee Dee the little Wild Sprout.  I decided to make this a birthday card for my niece... Nope... scratch that, she's technically my "Great" niece.  She will be turning 3 in a couple of weeks.  It's funny that when I showed my son the card the first thing he said was "Haylee"... Yes that's exactly who it's for!  I'm sure with all the pink, little Haylee is going to LOVE  LOVE  LOVE it!

So there you have 2 cards, for 2 challenges... oh and the TGF Cares Charity Card Drive.  But then this evening I decided to actually sit down and work on something I haven't touched in about 2 years.

Scrapbooking....  I cracked open the scrapbook of my son that was only partially finished, got out the pictures that pertain to that year, and I managed to accomplish 2 pages.  Kind of rusty, but I finally got myself involved.

The idea of scrapbooking came up the other day when The Greeting Farm came out with their very first Scrapbooking kit.  I was so inspired, that I just had to start up work on my scrapbooks.  I should have never let them go for 2 years... but hey, at least I have stamps, and all sorts of stuff that I hadn't previously had that I was able to use.

So of course this is the fun part, not for any challenge or anything like that, but just thought I'd share the 2 pages that I made this evening.  These are both 12x12 size pages.

I used a digital image from Victoria Case and kept him large, and then proceeded to try to coordinate his clothing with what my son was wearing for his 1st day of 5th Grade.  The Camo pants were a chore to create, but I'm happy with the result.

Because I'm a picky person, and have a slight tendency for OCD issues... LOL  I ALWAYS have to color coordinate my pages... another words, when you open the page, the one directly across from it, should also be in the same color family.  Yes I know... I'm strange, but... Such is life, I can't control myself!  So since this one has green, the next one has to have that same green paper too.

And there you have it, they don't completely match, but they tie in together in some way!  LOL  I used The Greeting Farm's "Spooktacular" stamp set to create the little trick or treaters that I placed randomly around the bottom portion of the page.  The journaling tag is actually a tag from The Greeting Farm's Digi Scrapbooking Kit called "Dirty Sugar"  It was pink with a cupcake, but I took the cupcake out, and turned the pink to a more orange/beige color.  It appears pink still here in this photo, but I assure you, it DOES match the papers...

But anyway, Now you know how I spent my evening.... It feels good to get into Scrapbooking again!  I'm SOOOO Glad that The Greeting Farm lit the fire under my butt.... LOL

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've enjoyed seeing the different things that I made today.
