I actually had a little extra time this weekend to craft, and ended up getting several things done. Can you believe it? Although I have to say that some of what I was working on was for my co-workers. Don't you just love getting special requests? ha ha
The card I made for this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge was one of those requests. I had already an idea in my head about what papers I wanted to use, and my image was colored, but now I needed a layout. I decided to check what the current challenge was over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog, and isn't it my lucky day, to see they have a sketch. This was perfect.
So, here is what I came up with.
You may notice something different with this image. Instead of her normal champagne glass, she is holding flowers.
Since a co-worker wanted a card to give to her niece on her first Prom, we really didn't think that a champagne glass was the right thing to be holding. So I replaced it with some flowers.
I know it's kind of hard to see in this photo, but I did some paper piercing along the scalloped dark purple paper, and a little bit of pale purple faux stitching around the image paper. I'm not quite sure why the flower bouquet looks blurry in this picture, but in reality it's not! It's a perfect fit.
Now I'm off for the first day of another week. One that I'm sure will be filled with craziness, and out of control kids. That's the story of my life I think! ha ha
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
