Hitting the Beach with The Greeting Farm

Hey there....  Guess what?  Today we're hitting the Beach with The Greeting Farm!  WHAT???  The Greeting Farm has a beach???  Well duh, of course they do, or else Mermaid Anya or Merman Ian wouldn't have anyplace to live on the farm!  LOL

Alright, seriously now....  The reason we're hitting the beach is because this weeks Scrapbook challenge is Beach Themed.  (Like you wouldn't have guessed it)  I hope you'll play along with us.  All you have to do is create a Layout using some sort of Beach Theme.  Of course using TGF stamps, and get it uploaded to the scrapbook section of the galleria.  So simple....  right?

Are you all just amazed at that awesome new "Sunshine" scrapbook kit?  I just keep on using it, I can't seem to get enough of it!  I can't wait until you all start getting your orders, so I can see what you're all creating with this amazing kit.

But for now, I thought I'd share a little fun on the beach with my nieces and nephews.  My sister and I took "The Gang" as we called it that summer.  Her 3 kids, plus my gang... which consisted of my 2 nieces, 1 nephew, (from the opposite side of the family) and my own son  So total we had 7 kids between us...  When I used to babysit those little devils in the summer, I spent many days hitting the beach, or heading to the pool, just to keep them busy, that way they could never say they were bored!  ha ha

I photographed one of our many sand castle building adventures, and thought I'd share it with you all, for this weeks "Beach Themed Layout" challenge.

I took an already sun ray colored sheet of 12x12 DP for my background paper, and then a sandy brown for the castle, and you won't believe what I did!!!!

I turned the brown paper upside down, and had found a picture of a sandcastle, and then held it over the upside paper, and paper pierced the whole thing.... When I turned the brown paper over, I had a nice raised bunch of holes in the shape and outline of a sand castle.  I used my sanding block, and lightly went over it, and ta-dah....  Magic....

I wish you could see how truly cool it looks but this picture just doesn't do it justice.  I created some water and waves, for little surfer Ian to surf on, and of course the exclusive Bikini Anya is peeking out from behind the sand castle.  Ohhhhh and there is that GORGEOUS dragonfly again....  I used pop dots to raise the wings, I am loving the layers on this page.  That sentiment is more than perfect for such a page, don't you think?

Anyway.... I think I've chattered enough here....  I hope you'll take the time to go and check out the rest of the scrapbook teams creations.  I know you will be amazed!
