Just "Horsing" Around with Elisabeth Bells Digi Images

Greetings "Ya'll"
Ohhhhh come on, you know that's funny...  Well it's funny for me because I'm from NY state... and here in NY, people NEVER say "Ya'll"  but you know what?  I just couldn't resist saying that after playing around with these adorable "Li'l Cowboy and Li'l Princess Tu Tu" images by Elisabeth Bell.

I had the privilege of showing these little cuties off over on the Digi Bells Blog.  Let me tell you, that place is chock full of inspiration using Elisabeth's gorgeous little "dolls"  =)

As for the title of my post here, Well.... I couldn't resist saying that either...  Because what I'm about to show you is actually the result of "horsing around"  I honestly had no plans for a card.  I just wanted to put those two little dolls back to back, and color them in some fun colors.  THEN.... I just kept playing, and messing with things, and suddenly a plan started to happen.  This is not my normal "style" in card making, so I'm unsure if I like it or not.  But I have to say that it's growing on me.

What do you think???

I did a little bit of hand stitching, on the card edge, and the frame.  the simplest of simple type of stitches.   The leaves were actually drawn on paper that I smeared with 3 different shades of ink, to get that "Autumn" coloring.  Of course the little miniature maple leaves were from a punch, on that same ink smeared paper.  So here you see on this card, I did some "Sanding" on the background paper, I did some stitching, I did some drawing (the leaves) and last but not least after my image was colored, I used Gloss to give my image, and my leaves some shine, and extra texture.  Soooooo, yes indeed, I do believe I spent my time "horsing around" here.  For some reason I am just in LOVE with this card now, and these images were SO MUCH FUN to work with.  Elisabeth's Digi images are ALWAYS fun aren't they?

You can find these cuties in her Digital Stamp Gallery.  Maybe, just maybe, one of these days I will go with a Western Theme for these adorable kids.  Now how cute would that be?

I hope you've enjoyed my odd sense of humor as well as seeing my Autumn card that I made while HORSING AROUND the other day!!!

Have a SUPER SWEET DAY!!!

Hiiii Lynda

You did a terrific job on that card and I just love everything about it. It might be a silly question but how did you manage to place the "lil Prince" lookig in the other direction, than the original image is? That looks so cool and these two cuties match perfectly together. Great job!
Thank you for always being an inspiration!

BIG hugs and have a wonderful weekend.
