Recipe's done Belles 'n Whistles Style....

Greetings, and Good Morning...  Here we are, Wednesday already... This week seems to be flying by.  I like the idea of that.  =)

I have a little something to show you today.  I was just playing around the other night, and created this picture, using this Gorgeous "Warm Apple Pie" Stamp from Belles 'n Whistles that was released last Fall.   After creating this scene, I decided I didn't want to use it for a card.  So after the entire image area was done, I sat here just looking at it, and BANG, it came to me, that this would make an adorable front to a booklet.  So I set out to make a simple book, and use it as a recipe book.

So out came the pieces of hard cardboard, some cardstock, some glue, and all sorts of cutting objects. LOL.... I decided on making this a 10 page recipe book.  Of course leaving the recipe pages blank, so that later favorite recipes could be written in.

The spine was done in an accordion type of fold, and the edge binding was covered with lace.  I have taken 2 different pictures of this book, obviously the front, and then one picture of what the inside looks like.  All of the pages are pretty close to being the same, other than the fact that I doodled with red pen differently on each page along the plain colored blue cardstock.  Well.. enough of my chatter, I think I will just SHOW the pictures.

I know it's a little hard to see, but on the actual recipe pages, I have some 2 different Belles 'n Whistles images faded into the background.  "Cooking with Nana" and Belle with her Cupcake.  These pages, are placed this way so that each section that is laying open, will show both recipe card images.

Hmmmm, what more can I tell you about this?  Ohhhh You should probably know that this whole idea was definitely a "Fly by the seat of my pants" project.  I had no template, I had no tutorial, and REALLY had no idea how it would turn out.... So what you see is what you get.  Probably the next time I do something like this, I might actually have some ...Ummm... "Better" ideas for it.. ha ha ha...

I brought this book with me to school today, so that I could doodle in the inside, when I had some free time.  Well wouldn't you know, the kids in our classroom all wanted this book.  Imagine these 9 and 10 year old kids wanting this?  I told them that maybe we could do something similar for an art project.  So of course NOW we have some happy kids.  The girls in the classroom of course want these adorable Belles images all throughout their book.  Hmmmm, do I dare to let them use my stamps ???  YIKES!!!

So now that I have bored you all with my stories about School kids, I think I will stop all this jabbering.  I hope that you have enjoyed my little recipe book.  If anyone has any booklet ideas for these adorable Belles 'n Whistles stamps, I know that we'd all LOVE to see your creations.  Belles Photo Gallery always likes to get new things entered there.  *wink*

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!!!
