Elisabeth Bells World - October Challenge and Belles 'n Whistles Challenge

Good Morning, and HAPPY MONDAY
Warning to you all, this MIGHT end up being a long post, but I have some things to show, so I can't be held responsible, if I end up talking a lot.  ha ha  The New Elisabeth Bells World Challenge, and then Belles 'n Whistles Bi-weekly Challenge.  Grab a cup of coffee, or whatever your heart desires, and enjoy.  =)

Okay, First thing's first.....

Today is the official opening of Elisabeth Bells World.  It's a challenge blog and once a month on the 25th, we will be having challenges there.  The projects are going to be amazing, and we can't wait for you all to join us there.  The best thing about Elisabeths World is that you can use ANY of the images/stamps from ANY of the companies, that she designs for.

This sure makes the possibilities endless.  Okay, I will just get right to showing you what I created for this months project over on the Brand New Elisabeth Bells World Challenge Blog

We are to create a 3x3 note box or tote. There are 2 different tutorials to pick from,
the links can be found back on the New Elisabeth Bells World Challenge Blog.

This is what I did with the note card box tutorial by Laurie Schmidlin

This is my box top.  I thought I would show a close up, and then show the rest of it afterwards.  It's okay to be just a tiny bit backwards, isn't it?

Here is the entire note card set.  The box contains 5 matching note cards, which I left blank inside, simply because anyone writing inside is going to need the space.  These are small.

I used "Princess Tales" from Belles 'n Whistles, on all of these note cards.  I just couldn't resist, because she's just too cute for words.  But then again ALL of Elisabeth Bells designs are!

So are you up for the challenge?  Head on over to the Brand New Elisabeth Bells World Challenge Blog, read the rules, and find out what awesome prizes are up for grabs.  We can't wait to see what you will create.

NOW for this weeks Belles 'n Whistles Challenge.  Our fellow DT sister Gini came up with this fun challenge.  She would like to see what you can do to either TRICK or TREAT us.  This does NOT have to be a Halloween card, but simply a card that has a Trick to it, Or you can Treat us to something Super Amazing.  You can find more details about what she's looking for on the BnW Challenge Blog.

My card qualifies as a "trick" ... Just watch this....

that looks like just a regular card, right?  Watch what happens when you open it.

ta-dah....  It has pop ups!!!  Want a closer view?

For this card I used, papers from "Basic Gray - Origins Paper Pack".  The stamps are all from "Belles 'n Whistles" (obviously) ha ha
On the front, I used "Every Belle" and the table from The Changeabelles Table and Gift Set, as well as the Roses in the pitcher from another one of The ChangeaBelles sets.
On the inside for the pop ups I used "Kneeling Belle" also from The ChangeaBelles Collection, as well as the Tulips from the "Cake, Tulips, and Phone" ChangeaBelles set. Last but not least, I used "A Child's Prayer" from The Forever Young Collection.

Yes it's a lot of different stamps, but I just HAD to do it!  I wanted a spectacular card for this week, but also wanted to make this card a "Get well" style card for a neighbor of mine, who has been dealing with Cancer.
What a terrible ordeal she's been through, but is finally back home, and now has Hospice coming in and taking care of her each day.  The sad part about it is that when Hospice comes in, it's usually the final days...  They take care of her, and just try to do their best to keep her comfortable until.....
I grew up with her daughter, and it's just a really sad situation all the way around.  Too young for all of this to happen really.  Very sad!

So this Trick or Treat me card will be given to my neighbor.  I hope it will bring a smile to her face at least.

Alrighty then, I'm rambling on and on I suppose, and I know this post is long, but I thought it would be best to make ONE post, rather than 2 for today.

I hope you'll take the time and check out both Challenge Blogs, and see if there is something that you'd like to play along with.  Enjoy the inspiration from the DT Sisters of Elisabeth Bells World, and from The BnW Challenge Blog

Happy Happy Monday!
