Fuzzy Wuzzy Birthdays with a Friday Sketchers Challenge

Greetings Crafty people... ha ha... I have a quick little post for you this evening.  I realized today that tomorrow is one of the students birthdays in our classroom at school, and I didn't have a boys birthday card on hand.  OH NO!!!!  It was time to think fast, and figure out what I wanted to do.

I was lucky enough to have already had my image colored, something I colored, but never ended up using, so it definitely came in handy this evening.  I decided to follow the sketch for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge, and since my card is featuring this fuzzy little dog from The Greeting Farm, he fits perfectly with this months Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge, which is Birthdays!  You see? It all worked out in my favor.

I decided that I wouldn't embellish this card too much, for 2 reasons.  #1, this is for a boy who is turning 12.  Flowers, lace, or ribbon just wouldn't impress him at all.  and #2, these are special needs kids with behavioral problems, and it would break my heart if he just destroyed it during an outburst or something, especially after putting a lot of time and effort into it.  Sooooooo, I kept this one as simple as possible.

I used my Zutter Distrezz-it-all and did lots and lots of distressing.  I think Daniel will like this card.  Even though I dread his excessive chatter during lessons tomorrow at School... ha ha....

Lynda, this is a great card for a 12 year old and he is going to love it. Bright fun colors and the image is so darn cute. Thanks for sharing it with us at the Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge this month.
