Greetings everyone! I'm sorry for being "absent" this last week. I've been vacationing in Florida, and visiting lots of different attractions. Needless to say, by the time I get back to where I can sit and relax and possibly have a little computer time, I'm wiped out, and don't even turn on the computer... I'm truly enjoying the vacation though. LOL
Lucky for me, I was well prepared ahead of time for what I would post for today. The new challenge over at Elisabeth Bells World Challenge blog is definitely a fun one. (and easy too)
All you need to do to join us is to add stitching, either faux or real, and some swirls, on your Elisabeth Bell card or project and you will be all set.
I didn't make a card this time around, but rather a mini tray... and I do mean "mini" I saw these adorable little trays in a store and got a few of them for $1.00 each. I couldn't resist. They are wood, so of course I painted it, and decided that I would create a little "Catch All" type of tray. How many of you walk into your house and set your keys, or spare change down somewhere? I thought this would make an adorable little tray to hold those types of things.
Of course you can see my hand drawn swirls, and stitching... I also did some loop type stitching around the image (the circle). I used Copics for coloring, and used craft paint for painting the tray, trying to give it an aged/distressed sort of look.
