Good Morning.... Today I have a card to share with you, although no one ever really likes to make cards like this, or worse yet, receive them.... Sometimes it's just necessary. =(
Sadly, this card was sent out to my brother-in-law who just lost his dad a little over a week ago. Very sad indeed.
While I was making the card, I really hadn't intended to use it for a challenge, but after it was done, I realized that I've used lots of different papers on this, so then I thought, "Wow - Why not?" I've definitely filled this months challenge theme for Elisabeth Bells World with this one.
I've used a digital download called "One Sunny Day" from Flower Soft USA's "Simpler Times Collection"
I tried to stick with a masculine feel, since I knew it was going to my brother-in-law. I have used Copics for coloring, but unfortunately I did not keep track of which colors I used, Like I said earlier, I hadn't really planned on using this for a challenge, so I didn't even keep track of what I used.
I've created the sentiment myself, and the "not so frilly" Flowers were punched out of Paint Sample Cards. LOL using my Medium sized, EKSuccess Retro Flower Paper punch! The punched branches behind the flowers are from a Martha Stewart paper punch. The papers used here are a good mix of stash from my scraps collection. (Yes I would rather call it a "Scraps Collection", it sounds nicer than saying they are from just scraps.) LOL
While this is not my usual style of card, I think it works well for what I needed it for. =(
