Good Evening!
Sketch Saturday and Dare U 2 Digi Stamp
both have awesome challenges this week.
So I decided to use it to my advantage and combine them
for one of my nieces.
July is a busy birthday month in my family it seems.
I just loved the sketch that Gill created for this weeks
Sketch Saturday Challenge. Very simple and fun to work with.
Then adding the challenge of using Embossing on your card
from the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp challenge just made it all that more interesting.
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss a piece
of the paper that I was using.
I really worked out very well to combine these challenges.
This card was made for my niece, but it will be
given to her from my mom, therefore
it's a card for a "Granddaughter"
BEST part about my card is my image I think,
because I am FINALLY able to use one of my very own Digi images
Of course I have to show you the inside as well...
I guess I can finally spill my little bit of news
I have been working for months on getting these images just right
and I'm finally at the point that I am able to start using some of them.
I created a card for my niece last week using one of them,
and now with this card I have used another one.
(Last weeks was a "Cheerleader" card)
My inspiration for some of these started out because of the fact
that there just doesn't seem to be enough African-American
type of images out there.
My sister has 4 children that she has adopted, and my oldest niece
has a daughter who is also African-American.
So you see giving cards in my family is tough when you want to
make them more personal for your family members.
But anyway, I thought that I would share
the 6 images that I have created.
I decided that I would color them in
because of course they look better that way! LOL
Here are my first 6 Girls
I am hoping that you will like them.
I also have listed them on Etsy if anyone is interested.
