Goodmorning folks, I don't know where this week has gone. I think I've been so pre-occupied with worry about my co-workers son Nick. I posted a card that I made for him the other day. And it seems my brain has completely flown out the window.
I created this very cool Ice Cream Sundae card for last weeks "Farm Fresh Friday" challenge, and never actually posted it here. Go figure!
But it's so delicious that I just HAD to post it here too.
The challenge this week for The Greeting Farms "Farm Fresh Friday Challenge" is to make something to do with Dessert. Well let me tell you, I was actually sitting at work after lunch, while the kids were having some quiet time with their books, and my brain went into creative thinking. I actually got the idea for a hot fudge sundae with lots of dripping fudge, and I needed paper, I needed to sketch, I didn't have any paper.
One of the little boys usually draws on a small white board but he wasn't using it at the moment. I said... "Quick, can I use your white board?" I began to draw my ideas. Hey, there is nothing like drawing on a white board with a big fat erasable marker right? I just didn't want to lose my idea, I had to actually do a sketch to see if my idea would work.
Of course for me to draw the ice cream sundae and get it right in a short time would be almost impossible, so I showed it to my dear friend and co-worker Brother Donald, who is a very talented artist, and painter. He then had a full page size image of a drippy goopy hot fudge sundae for me to take home with me. I darkened the lines, and scanned it in, and cleaned it up, and WOW what a dessert!!!!

I set out to coloring, and making my card!
This is what I came up with. So first of all, I have to say a HUGE Thank you to Brother Donald for his quick artwork. I added TGF's Digi image "Rain, Rain" to the Sundae and ta-dah... Here you go!
OH MY... This looks good enough to eat! Super delicious as a matter of fact!
So that is my card for last weeks Farm Fresh Friday Challenge, and already tomorrow there will be a new challenge. At least I did get it posted in the galleria before the deadline. Phew... I was cutting it close!
