Roses on Paper - Challenge #38 - "Gifts" Challenge

Greetings, and a Happy Monday to you all!  =)

First of all, have you all heard that we have some new DT Sisters at Belles 'n Whistles?  I'm so excited, and can't wait to start getting to know them better, and working with these super talented ladies!  =)

Alright, now I have to do some fast typing I think, because I have been fighting with a miserable internet connection for days.  It just randomly works, and doesn't work, at any given moment.  So I'm going to post while I can, so please pardon me if I'm keeping it short and sweet today!

Okay now lets get down to business!!!  This week our lovely Anki has a new challenge over on the Roses on Paper / Belles 'n Whistles Combined Challenge Blog.  Are you ready for this one?  It's all about gifts, .... Gift bags, Gift Boxes, Gift Sets, or to create something along those lines.....

I have to say, I didn't exactly make a GIFT Box... but I did decorate a poor broken down box that was headed to the garbage can at school.  Apparently this cardboard crayon or pencil box had seen better days.  The sides were bowed out, and partially ripped along the corners, the lid was unable to rest on top of the box, and just caved in, and I rescued this "Crayola" Cardboard Crayon Box just in time!

I decorated it with the Belles 'n Whistles "Sisters" stamp, and all kinds of other little goodies.  I made miniature pinwheels, because I used to love playing with those with my sister.  Added some silk flowers, and ribbon, and last but not least, I made that box STRONG!!!  I used Modge Podge all over it, inside and out!  I'm beginning to think the only way to break that box now would be to drive over it!  ha ha

I have taken 3 different pictures of it, to try and show it to you better.  You'll have to excuse the glare, in the pictures, that is because it's glossy, which is what the Modge Podge does once it's dried.

Are you ready???  Here we go!

And here is a close up of the image on the front.

Isn't this just the cutest box?  And to think I grabbed it before it hit the garbage can!  ha ha....  I don't think they believed I could do something with it... and guess what?  Since they didn't want it, I'm going to definitely be keeping this one!  I have LOTS of uses for such an adorable box...  =)  Lucky Me!  Okay Okay, I know we were supposed to make a "GIFT" box, well I just made myself a gift, alright?  ha ha....  Oh I'm just SO SO Bad!!!

You'll have to forgive me!  Please???

Alright, I'm going to finish up here, because you never know when the sneaky little internet connection devil will show his ugly face, and steal my internet again.....

I hope you'll all stop in and see what the rest of the DT have created for this fabulous challenge!
Thanks for stopping in here today to see my little "Treasure".
