Roses On Paper/Belles n Whistles Challenge No. 26

Okay guys, you're getting 2 posts in one day! LOL
Aren't you lucky?  Well, that all depends!

Thank you in advance, for scrolling down
for my Greeting Farm Sneak Preview post today.

Todays challenge over at the
Roses On Paper/Belles 'n Whistles
Combined Challenge Blog

is to alter something!

Well, I will have to admit, that this challenge
almost slipped my mind, for some reason
I was a week off, I thought it was next week.
OOOOOPS!

Luckily, I had finished a gift card holder on Saturday,
that I made for my mother.
So I decided to submit that, but it still wasn't an ALTERED item,
So I sat down and got right to work, I felt like I was in a race.
Let that be a lesson, NEVER HURRY!
Because my altered picture frame is just a tad bit too simple
for my taste, but I'll show it to you again.
I will definitely be taking a 2nd stab at it,
and hopefully then show you all an updated picture.

That's what's on my plate for when I get home from work.
I swear I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached!

Okay, so you see, I'm truthful anyway,
I just had to admit to my lack of brain
I guess the 5 days free from work, and
eating too much Turkey all caused
proper brain activity to fail.  LOL

Oh, you probably want to see what I've created
Yes, I guess now would be a good time to show you.

First, the Stocking gift card holder for my mom.
I used one of the December releases from
Belles 'n Whistles
I just think little Belle is beautiful.
This stamp is called "Two Calling Birds"

I took a closer picture, so you could see just how
beautiful she really is!

My mom won't be with us for Christmas this year,
so it had to be something that is easily mailed.
So she'll be getting this with a gift card to her
favorite store.  I hope she likes it!

Now for my bone head attempt at actually ALTERING
something, I used one of those cardboard puffy picture frames
You know, the cheap ones, that are just really ugly that you can
buy 2 for $1.00 at a dollar store!

This is too simple and plain for my taste,
but my brain just quit working late last night,
So hopefully I can work on this a bit more
later on today.
I will post an update I'm sure!

I couldn't resist using the less obvious colors in the DP for coloring.
I think it helped to bring them out a little more.
Tilda is just so cute, and so is that snowman from
The greeting Farm, they don't deserve to be on something
this simple.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by, and reading my long winded post.
no matter how short I try to keep it, I never can succeed.
I really should learn not to talk so much!

My TGF Preview post is below.
