Papertake Weekly & Truly Scrumptious Challenges

Greetings everybody!  Hope you all have been having a beautiful Saturday like we were today.
The snow is almost melted away.  Hello Spring - I've been waiting for you!  =)  I can't say that my day has been the greatest, since I've been trying to get a lot of rest, I've been feeling a big under the weather, and still a little blah, but hopefully one more day of resting will help.

Today I have a card to share with you, that I made for a dear friend who going through a pretty rough time losing her husband last week.  Unfortunately it's one of those deaths that no one will ever quite understand.  Suicide is never easy to deal with.  =(    I really had a hard time with this card, because I just really have no words to express my sorrow, and yet show support to her at the same time.  Such a sad occasion to make a card for.

I've decided to use my card for the Papertake weekly challenge since I had already started the card using purples and yellows, but hadn't yet applied a sketch, so I chose to use this weeks sketch from the Truly Scrumptious challenge.  So this time I have 2 challenges in 1 here.
This will be going out in the mail first thing Monday.

I'm hoping that this will cheer her at least a little bit, and let her know that I care.

So that is my post for this weekend, I will be back on Monday with another card for you.  (or maybe sooner if I'm feeling a little better before then)

Thanks for stopping by!
