Scrapping The Summer Away with The Greeting Farm

Man oh man, I'm late... I'm late....  Due to several severe thunder storms in our area, my internet has been giving me fits.  I couldn't schedule my post.  Sooooo here goes, I'm writing it in a hurry before going to work!

Okay, now with that out of the way,  lol  I can't wait to show you the layout I did for this weeks challenge over at The Greeting Farm.  Today is Thursday, and that means we have a brand new scrapbook challenge for you!  Why not spend some of your free time (if you have some) scrapbooking, and join us for this weeks challenge.

Lysa, my fellow DT artist *wink* has chosen this weeks challenge.  All you have to do is create a SUMMER VACATION LAYOUT.  How easy is that?  Well I couldn't wait to share the layout I made, because I thought it turned out pretty darn cute!

While at the lake, camping with my sister and her family, the kids decided to go a little crazy....  wait until you see what they did.  Polmolive is useful for many things....  as you will soon find out!

I think you are going to have to try and read the dish soap bottle for the full story!  LOL

Okay, so maybe you can't really read it from here.  So I'll give you a quick little run down on what these nutty kids did.

They used dish soap, and squirted it inside that big blow up ..... ummmm, I don't know what you'd call it, but it looks like a blow up kiddie pool, but it floats on water...  Yep, those crazy kids thought that SOAP would make it nice and slippery.  Those bone heads couldn't even stand up.  They had this thing anchored out in the water a little ways, and were standing and sliding around in it, it was crazy!  I just had to capture that moment.  At least 3 of them played in that for hours, the funniest part was when they would try to stand up, many times they would slip and fall right into the water!  Who says dish soap can't be fun, right?

I created my own summery paper and colored it in, using "Surfer Ian" as the focus, and of course just HAD to use surfer Ian made larger, and altered his leg and took away his surf board, doesn't he look like he's about to slide off of the top of the picture frame?  I used TGF stars, and background stamps (both from the spotlight kit) to help add to all the fun going on in this layout!  The Fun in the Sun sentiment is from the more recent "Sunshine Kit".

Alright now I have to hurry along, and get myself to work.  I hope you enjoyed this layout as much as I do.
I can't wait to see what everyone else will create for this weeks challenge.  These layouts are always so much fun!

For more incredible DT inspiration you should really go and visit the girls, check out what they've made!
