Gooooood Morning and a VERY HAPPY Friday to you all.... Yes Yes, I'm in a good mood today, and do you know why? It's Challenge day, of course, but it's also my last day of work for 3 weeks. FINALLY a little time off. =)
Okay, this weeks challenge over at Phindy's Challenge Blog is called "Pretty in Pink" All you have to do to enter is to create a card, or project using PINK PINK PINK... and of course a Phindy's image. Have you seen all the amazing work the DT has done for your inspiration? We are welcoming Cec this week as her official first week on the DT. I'm sure you'll love what she creates.
Okay, on with my posting... I have a card to show you that is just LOADED with PINK.... I used "Summer Blossom" from Phindy's "Summer Cuties" line.... Isn't she just the sweetest?
I decided to go with a "Congratulations" sentiment simply because I thought this card could be used for a birthday or a baby girl announcement, or something like that.
I colored her using copics, and the striped paper is actually hand drawn using Stampin' Up's pixie pink, and gable green markers. I wish I had more papers in those color combinations, but I don't... =( Time to search for it I guess....
Thanks for stopping by, and taking a peek at this little cutie. If you have some time, you'll definitely want to stop by the rest of the DT's blogs, and find out more about what they created.
Have a PHABULOUS weekend!

Elisabeth Bell DT Call

9:41 PM
Good evening!
Have you all heard about Elisabeth Bell's Digi images? I have been playing with them for a couple of months now, and they're awesome... Who couldn't love Elisabeth Bell images? Well guess what? She's having a DT call, and even though I was second guessing myself to begin with, I thought that I may as well give it a shot. What can it hurt to at least try, right? After all, I love making things with her images, so I'm not out anything if I give it a try, right?
So here I go, these are the things that I created using her newest Digi images.
This is a heart shaped box that I had stored away thinking I would eventually use it, and guess what? The time came to use it! How perfect is that sentiment considering that it's what this digi image is called. "I Love You This Much" Partically stamped, and partially hand written. Yes, you know I always like to be a tad bit different. LOL So I filled this box with Hershey's kisses. What better gift is there, that tells someone that you love them, right?
I tried to get a different angle shot so you could see this box a little bit better.
Next I have a card that I actually just finished this evening... I have been working on designing the cherry paper for about 2 days now, I hand colored each and every one of those cherries, and had created the paper using a black and white clip are in Adobe Photoshop. The BLUE cherry paper is actually the same paper, but the blue comes from chalks. Pretty nifty huh? So actually this card has NOT ONE SINGLE store bought DP on it. The background paper is just plain cardstock in either Red, Pink, or White. For the little circle designs, I used a stampin up stamp. I just have to tell you, I had a BLAST creating this card that way!
What do you think?
Here is another one that I made for a teacher that works at our school, her last day teaching there will be Friday.... So this one is for her.
Okay, so this is it, NOW it's time for me to just sit tight, and keep my fingers crossed, and shut my eyes real tight! Maybe... just maybe I will be chosen... but if not.... it certainly won't stop me from playing with Elisabeths Digi images... They are absolutely GORGEOUS, aren't they?

Belles 'n Whistles "Purple/Lilac" Challenge

3:00 AM
Good Morning Everybody.... What a great weekend I had. It's always fun going to a kids 16th birthday party! Who knew it would be that much fun! LOL And LOOK... I even had time to create a new blog background and header bar for myself. It's August, and I just felt like a change.... I used some of Elisabeth Bells Digi images, and even colored them digitally! ALL work done for this was created right here on the computer. Boy I've been having some fun practicing my "coloring and shading" in adobe photoshop!
But okay.... that's beside the point.... Elisabeth Bell is also the very talented artist behind our Belles 'n Whistles Stamps... so you'll want to be sure you use a BnW stamp for our challenges. =)
Another week has gone by, and it's time once again for another fabulous Belles 'n Whistles Challenge. This week, it was our sweet Rosette who has chosen the challenge for us. We are simply supposed to use the colors "Purple/Lilac" basically any shade of purple.... so that is what I did....
I used "A Child's Prayer" from the latest "Forever Young Collection" from Belles 'n Whistles. What an absolute Sweetie she is, isn't she? She looks so cute in purple too, don't you agree?
I know you can't really tell in this photo, but the ribbons on the side are actually a dark purple, and then the ric-rac across the card is a deep brown like the "paper buttons" that I made. I love the brown and purples mixed. But oh what a doll this little sweetie is as she's saying her bedtime prayers!
I colored her with copics, and added some dew drops for a little something extra. The flowers are from Prima, and the lace was from my stash...
I hope you'll play along with us this week for this easy Belles 'n Whistles Challenge. Of course I hope you'll upload your creations to Belles very own Photo Gallery as well... She's told me that I have to try to convince people to enter their amazing works of art in the gallery. SHE LOVES to browse through the album. =)

TGF's FFF - Cindy's Sketch

Okay, this has got to be one of the funniest birthday cards I've made in quite a while! I decided I would play along with this weeks "Farm Fresh Friday Challenge" over at The Greeting Farm's Blog. Cindy has a pretty simple sketch she'd like us to follow, and it just so happened to work out in my favor for this Birthday card that I needed for a party later today! =)
My son's friend Keith is 16 years old today. Keith has always been addicted to the outdoors, and anything to do with hunting, and fishing etc. In fact, he LOVES to dress like a hillbilly, or another words, he wants to be a "Redneck" He's just TOOO FUNNY!!!
So for his 16th Birthday party, his parents decided to let him have a "Redneck Themed" Birthday party.... What Keith doesn't know is that his friends will be showing up ALL DRESSED the way a "Redneck" would dress.
So in honor of Keiths 16th Birthday, he is getting a "redneck" card! LOL
I used 3 different Ian's from The Greeting Farm. I just LOVE being able to swap out heads, clothing, hair and whatever else I possibly can with these TGF stamps. So that's what I did, in order to create this very unique little "Redneck".
Meet "Redneck Ian"
His hat is from "Baseball Ian" His head is from "Surfer Ian" and his body, is from the "Rock the Farm Set".... I colored him using Copics, and did my best to get that camo look to his clothing! I can't wait to see Keiths face when he gets this card later. I think I'm definitely going to have to bring my camera to this party. Maybe... Just maybe I can post a couple of them here later on.
Alright, card is finished, challenge is entered, and NOW it's time to go get ready for this "Redneck Birthday Bash" ha ha
Thanks for stopping by.
UPADATED WITH A COUPLE OF PARTY PICTURES... This party was just TOOOO FUNNY!!! They had a contest for who looked the most like a "redneck" and the teenage boys were playing air guitar and singing.... What a riot!
Of course I have to include a picture of my son dressed up this way.... I almost couldn't stand to look at him this way! LOL
That's my son all the way on the left!
And then there is the Birthday Boy with his TGF "Redneck" card! =) The good news is that Keith LOVED his card!!! =) LOL
