Soooo, for today's Digi release, I've decided to use the gorgeous "Back To School Girl" digi as well as the fabulous "Back to School Books" to decorate a notebook.  After all, what is school, without notebooks?  Everyone needs notebooks, right?

So this is what I have come up with.

Yep... That's it!

Noooo, I'm sorry, I'm just joking....
Apparently I think I am pretty funny today!!!

However, THAT IS the type of notebook that I used for today's post.

This is what I turned that notebook into...

The papers that I used for covering the book are both from The Paper Studio.
The one on the left is called "School Supplies Mix" and the Blue is called "Texture - Royal Blue".
I have used the blue as the main outer cover, and the inside of the front and back cover are covered in the "School Supplies Mix" paper.  Of course I added just a hint of that paper to the left side, wrapping it around to show on the binding and a little bit on the back as well.

There are so many goodies to look at here, so I will start with the best of all.
"Back To School Girl" and her books.
This beauty was a favorite of mine when it was sold as a rubber stamp from Whiff of Joy a few years ago.  Unfortunately I never got around to adding her to my collection.  When I saw that we would be working with this gorgeous girl for this months Digi release I was beyond thrilled.
The thing I LOVE about the fact that she is now a Digital stamp, is that SIZE is EASILY adjusted to suit any project.  So of course she was enlarged, so she would stand front and center on my notebook.

I used Copics as well as just a couple of Prisma Color Pencils for my coloring.
Colors used are as follows.

Skin and Hair: E00, PC943, PC926, E50, Y21, Y26, YR23
Clothing: R29, R25, R39, B26, B93, B95, PC901, PC 1067
Other Colors Used for Books and Accessories:
R29, R35, R59, B41, B93, YG17, YG67, Y38, YR04, YR14, E08, E41.

The vintage Library Card and Flash Cards are my favorite I think.
I don't even know what triggered the idea to add something like that, but I am really glad that the idea crossed my mind.  I love the way those items look here.
As for where I found those, a simple google search for Vintage Flashcards, and Library Cards lead me right to it.  The funniest part about the library card is that it must have been one that showed Elvis Presley as signing the book out.  I didn't notice that until I had printed it out, and was placing it on my notebook. (All the more reason for me to LOVE this notebook)
The ABC's and 123's were just large font that I printed, colored, and cut out.
but how about that Vintage Ruler?  WOW - I absolutely LOVE IT!!!
Of course, what is school, without a "Word of the Day" and Zeal seemed to suit my project quite well, I think.
The finishing touch was my doodling and real denim flowers.
Yes, I really did use the fabric from an old pair of blue jeans.
They turned out better than I imagined.

All in all, I have to say.... I absolutely LOVE my new notebook.  I don't even know if I want to write in it now.  Maybe I should pass it along as a gift.  I don't know.  But I truly had a ton of fun creating this very fun and fab notebook.

Thank you so much for stopping by....
I hope that you were inspired to give something like this a try.
It's time to get moving, and hop on over to Fiki's Blog.  You are sure to be amazed with her beautiful work.
