Club Anya & Friends - Sketchy Saturday

Goodmorning Peeps,
I thought I would share the card
that I made last night for a co-worker
who has lost her brother to cancer.
Very sad really, because he was young.
Just something that isn't expected, you know?

I followed the sketch from Saturdays
Gettin' Sketchy with Club Anya & Friends Challenge.
I did post it in the galleria last night
but thought that I would also share it here today.

This is the fun little sketch that I had to work with.

I created some of my own papers for this card
just because I really wanted to go with a main color
of soft blue, with some pink added.  I really didn't
like any of the pastel blue patterned papers that I had,
not for this type of card anyway,
so I thought I would create my own.
That's always fun anyway, right?
I thought that this Beautiful Miss Anya would be
the perfect choice for this type of card.
Doesn't she look beautiful?

I used Stampin' Up inks for the background
For the blue, I used "Bashful Blue" and then stamped
the rosebuds using "Brilliant Blue"
For the pinks, I used a background of
"Pretty in Pink" and the rosebuds are stamped with
"Pixie Pink".
The rosebuds are from a stamp set called
"Petite Backgrounds" also from S.U.

The 3rd paper there is from DCWV's
Spring Matstack.

The inside was left with LOTS of room for
people to write something, it seems that whenever
I make a card and people at work are going to sign it
everyone is afraid to write on the DP.  You should see them
all trying to find a place to write, So I left the inside cover
just lightly inked and on the opposite side,
I made sure to actually write on the DP.
Just to show them, YOU CAN write there!  LOL
I certainly didn't write on it before I took the picture though.
Here is the inside.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Wishing you all a Happy Tuesday
